curious-sickle "That's weird, why would they publish such an obvious self own?"

smuglord "That just shows how naïve you are! The data only looks bad because we in the West have the Freedom to dissent!"

    porky-happy "The data looks bad?"

My understanding is that most Saudi citizens have it quite good, being bribed by superprofits and using non-citizen residents as practically slave labor.

even so you'd think they'd be a little realistic about the political situation. monarchy that converges with your interests is still a monarchy, isn't it?

It doesn’t sound like that’s the question that was posed, whether it is a democracy, though I’m only going by the graphic, and I don’t think Saudis consider their indentured foreign laborers to be people, racist fucks that they are, and I’m sure they weren’t included in the survey.

Stating the obvious but like both the Saudi and Israeli citizens are supported by a mass of workers who aren't citizens, mostly interact with other citizens in similar circumstances and barely consider the none citizens that clean the streets, drive the taxis, take out the bins, etc human so like of course they feel their government represents them and serves their interests.

They clearly didn't ask me. Poland? In the green? What the fuck?

NFZ is in the shitter. Education crumbles. "Public" transport in villages is non existent. They want to implement "Kredyt 0%", which on the day of it's announcement increased rent and apartment prices as much as 16%! Because who needs public housing, am I right fellas? Universities lack dorms and are either bulldozing existing ones, or selling them to private hands instead of going with repairs.

But you know what they can find money for? The military and their own salaries.

This country clearly represents a goddamn minority and neither me, nor the people. Fucking bullshit got me worked up.

Maybe? The current Iranian government is nationalist and anti imperalist, but I can see how many people would be against it in ways. Venezuela has a good government, but there's still the issue of corruption and economic turmoil.

Cuba is a rare example of a South American state having such a thorough and all encompassing revolution that basically the entirely of the population was on the side of the revolutionaries.

That being said, this data is definitely biased heavily and even with the bias it still shows a clear picture of the socialist nations having significantly higher popular support than the capitalist ones.

I think the data itself is flawed because it doesn't list the demographics of the people they asked

I mean, look at South Africa

Either something is hinky or there's a lot more Boers than I thought

I doubt the data collection is flawless but I do know that Iran had pretty low voter participation in its most recent presidential election which typically indicates low faith in their government and venezuela is in a lot of foreign debt while also being under constant threat from the cia which is likely doing everything they can to destabilize the country in it's free time. So I wouldn't say it doesn't check out

there is probably apathy and discontent in these countries towards their governments (in part due to western sanctions) but as others are saying, sampling bias and all. i do not think if you ask the protesting Indian farmers they'll say the Government works for 'most' people.

Liberalism: wages an unceasing war on any sort of collectivism or socialism and pulls the red scare propaganda lever so hard they break it off

Liberalism: proceeds to piss and shit over the fact that the global masses aren't democratic enough despite the fact that the socioeconomic system Liberalism put in place is effectively a dictatorship of capital

You got what you wanted, you stupid, stupid assholes. Time is linear. What you did got you to where you are now. Be proud of your shit accomplishments.
