Lib neighbors asking me not to shoot my m-60 off at 11 pm so they can sleep. So I open fire on their house :chavez-guns:

I tell my wife all the time, ‘Stay away from the neighbors. Don’t argue with them. You never know how they’re going to react,’” Arevalo said. “I tell her that because Texas is a state where you don’t know who has a gun and who is going to react that way.”

    Sickening

Don't do anything that might antagonize your neighbor because they might murder your entire family.

I've basically said this to my partner before. She gets road rage at least like twice a week and that's just what I witness when I'm THERE. We use the Life360 app because if she takes longer than usual on the road or doesn't reply to my calls or texts in a suspicious amount of time an overwhelming sense of doom steadily increases in me and I convince myself somebody shot her through her windshield or something at an intersection because she can't not yell

I feel like we have to learn another language or something. All the places I can think of we could more "easily" move to are steadily becoming more like America every decade lol

When I'm in TX (I'm from there, don't live there anymore) I generally take this approach.

An armed society is a polite terrified society.

I will never stop being astounded by the sheer entitlement of right-wing Americans. This is up there with the guy who stabbed people to death on the Portland subway in the name of "free speech" because they asked him to stop harassing a Muslim lady.

this is the kind of people we're trapped with, all of them heavily armed and getting more unhinged by the day

This is why you need to shoot your neighbor first and don't ask questions. Only the fastest guns in the west will survive in this yehaw fash country :brace-dark-cowboy:

tbh i don't think there's a good or even decent solution here. those that can afford to may be able to move away somewhere but that's not possible for most of us.

any individual action we try to take to ease tensions with these people is dominated by the culture industry actively radicalizing them into fascism.

so like, we can get armed I guess so we at least aren't absolutely defenseless soft targets, but jesus a gun just means you can shoot back it doesn't stop you from getting shot at in the first place (not directly at least)

I really don't know what the solution is. You have a country of armed fascists who're losing their minds daily over their quality of life slipping away.

Having a gun can prevent some being shot at if it's known you have it. These types of killings happen because the person with the gun knows the other person is unarmed.

You’re supposed to :vote: until the democrats have a near total supermajority, and then donate your money so they begin to think of even doing something

I don't think so. The shooter is a Mexican that's been deported twice. The Right are going to have a field day.

Yeah it's not as if there aren't prejudices against different nationalities within Latin America, and it sounds like some of the victims had just moved in, so I wouldn't rule it out as a contributing factor entirely.

They will either ignore the victims entirely or publicly mourn them as a loss of "proper" legal immigrants (only for a good few of them to be celebrating about the "trash taking each other out").

"How could what the Croatian Ustaše did to Serbs be considered a genocide? They both had similar names!"

(not to say that this was such a case, necessarily)

The real sick part about this, this isn't even a castle doctrine situation, the gunmen went over to the other house and shot the family members in the head execution style.

        I’m aware.

It’s the mindset of the castle doctrine. That you live in your own world and how dare anyone intrude.

Gun culture of shooting deadly weapons as a way to relax.

Please, even for Americans own good. Can we balkanize already?

We pin all the crimes that this disgusting Great Satan of a country has done on shithole states that will inevitably go fash, and then they get their ass whooped by China and will finally be tried for all the human rights violations they have done.
