This could also work, depending on where you live and rather or not something else has germinated in the manure already. It's much, much more likely to fail though than other methods. If you have dirty spores (like from the bottom of a bag), that's a good place for those. A spore syringe I would put in a pasteurized or sterile substrate of some kind (manure, pf tek, or hydrated grains like millet or other bird seeds).
I have a similar desire to grow weed outside for fun (I don’t do drugs, but I like breaking laws). It might go legal sometime, so why not? Just don’t know where to get them. Also, do you save your spores for future growing? (Spore print?) or just buy new syringes? I imagine I could throw some product spores outside and maybe one day get results.
I save my spores and also do culture work. I'm pretty serious about mushrooms as a hobby, so I have a flow hood and stuff. And also grow gourmets.

It could work with clean spores. If it's an option for you, there are vendors selling liquid cultures of actives rather than spores. It seems a bit like a legal gray area, but I haven't heard of any reports of people getting in trouble for them. And the vendors would more likely be targeted rather than the buyers.
Inoculating sterilized manure with a liquid culture works. Some vendors even sell bags of prepastuerized substrate with manure in them that have special ports for sticking the needle in.
I figured that out. Ty still. I’m not buying mycelium bc 1 maybe illegal 2 more expensive 3 more interesting to do the whole thing.
I didn't see whatever thread this is replying to but my 2c/to boost megathread numbers: uncle bens tek is a fun one if you haven't seen it (uses instant rice packets since they're already sterile and hydrated), but PF is classic for a reason as well
The one I’m @ing said that method’s less efficacious, but what do I care? I’ll try all the methods I feel like, ty for the comment.
admittedly it did fail on me sorta when I tried it but I was working with old spores, didn't give it enough air exchange or hydration, and was too depressed to follow through on the process well
