After supporting imperialist actions against Venezuela, DPRK, Syria, and now the PRC while in lockstep with the propaganda of the 5 eyes of western Imperialism, it become clear that all leftists must denounce the virulent neoliberalism that is transfused with the breadtube subreddit and the breadtube subculture.

Reconciliation with them can only occur when they realize the flaws within their eurocentric worldview and stand in full opposition to western warmongering as we stand here on the eve of the second cold war.

Yeah that subreddit is extremely imperialist. The China discourse there is completely indistinguishable from the rest of Reddit. I don't watch any of the relevant channels so I can't comment there, but those users fucking love CIA propaganda.

i'm gonna get flamed for this but CTH could be pretty imperialist at times as well, used to see a lot of anti-CPC stuff there back in 2019 before the quarantine

No, you're right. Fortunately it was turned around through the hard work of posters, for the most part.

I remember every single person who supported the invasion of Iraq and that is the metric which I use to judge whether or not I can trust them. It is a remarkably durable and accurate litmus test and it looks like I'm going to have to add this China bullshit to it.

I don't follow breadtube, but I'm pretty familiar with these radlibs who thinks they are far left, just recall the whole Libya situation, all these radlibs were calling for the ouster of Gadaffi because of "DEMOOOCRRRACCYYY" and "Human Rights", they were spewing the same state department bullshit, the craziest of all was that Gadaffi was giving his troops Viagra so they can do mass raping. The biggest offender of these State Department radlibs was the popular "progressive" news program DemocracyNow! , who had cruise missile "leftist", Juan Cole, rabidly calling for Gadaffi's ouster even if it meant NATO bombs. DN! was doing the same State Department propaganda for Syria. When Trump bombed Syria, the next day DN! had a Syrian American activist on, she was angry at Trump, not because he dropped bombs on another Middle Eastern Country, but that these bombings were useless because they destroyed an empty air strip. She was calling on Trump to lay waste to key Syrian infrastructure.

I don't uncritically support these countries that are targets of Western Imperialism, but look at Libya, the outcome of Western interventionism is almost always far far worse!

Another thing further suggesting this is the way even a lot of more learned western leftists will occasionally slip up and have an imperial take because an imperialist narrative is baked into people's lives at every moment.

leftism is when you loot and rape the third world so the imperial core can have universal health care

I know you're joking but more than a few people believe this unironically so it's worth saying.

Cuba is proof that you don't need to like, bring back Bretton-Woods to have social programs and healthcare. The money absolutely exists even in very poor countries. You can dismantle imperialism and not impoverish the imperial core.

There's a weird leftist minority that overlaps with the far right that thinks we "can't afford" social programs without empire, which is fucking stupid. No one needs to drag healthcare out of the healthcare mines. It's just a matter of planning, educating, training, and providing facilities, which can be done anywhere.

Part of what's so insanely evil about Neoliberalism is the dichotomy between how much wealth currently exists and how easy it would be to permanently solve most peoples' basic needs.

It's literally just /u/communistfox banning everyone too. I don't know if the other mods are on vacation or what but the fucking open mod logs is damning.

I got banned for arguing against that John Oliver video for "tankie spam" on all three of my accounts lol. Worth it.

How do you view the mod logs? The link on their sidebar won't load for me.

It's either down or they disabled it. It was working yesterday and literally every message remove or user ban was automod or communistfox lol

I messaged the breadtube creator and he didn't reply so either they're away or don't want to say why they're banning everyone.

Edit: looks like moddit is down

I enjoy many of the youtube creators but the actual subreddit is hit or miss. To be fair though, that post with landlord defenders hit r/all, so it's not exactly indicative of the sub in general; in fact I'd generally argue that most of the top comments on that post were actually really positive and hated on landlords.

From what I've seen they're pretty much stereotypical anarkiddies (not to confuse with proper anarchists who are cool and good)

The users there have dog brains. Got downvoted for telling someone to stop concern trolling about the supposed anti-semitism of Ilhan Omar and kinda gave up on the place

It feels like the breadtube funnel goes both ways though. A lot of people can get comfortable with something like breadtube, and then radicalize further. Most people on reddit come from an imperialist eurocentric viewpoint, so going to breadtube is not moving right. As long as it doesn't serve as the last stop, probably not worth it to persecute them.
