not that i give a fuck about this dead CEO (lol) but were these things really her unilateral decision? or was it the inevitable consequence of the pursuit of profit in a privately owned company which would have happened regardless of which bourgeois cretin happened to be CEO?

It's always a little bit of both. Some of the general exists in the specific and some of the specific exists in the general. She enacts her class' will in the ways she is capable of and in the manner that she sees fit, which gives her moral responsibility, while still making her a replaceable part in an enormous machine.

as someone whose dysfunctional workplace makes harebrained decisions... the CEO absolutely does sanction almost every stupid choice made and also makes a plethora of stupid decisions all by himself

This thread is hilarious. It's like:

"Former CEO of company that published Racism Quarterly and Misogyny Monthly dead at 56."

    Hexbear: "lol ur dead"

Libs: "dang guys can't you respect the dead?"

SMH Hexoids being disrespectful about the death of someone again. Looks like i have to be the example of civility here and state that i like her very much now that she's dead.

Maza, a video producer on Vox’s “Strikethrough,” last week took to Twitter to accuse YouTube of allowing abuse, use of homophobic slurs and bullying to run rampant on its platform: “This has been going on for years, and I’ve tried to flag this shit on several occasions,” he wrote. “But YouTube is never going to actually enforce its policies. Because Crowder has 3 million YouTube subscribers, and enforcing their rules would get them accused on anti-conservative bias.”

The legacy of a person is their words and actions, is dying some immensely noble act? Obviously being disrespectful towards the dead is accepted in some cases, so it’s not a rule, and you have to justify this individual case outside of moralist platitudes.

Remember when the same people who called Trump a racist fascist who wanted to destroy democracy^TM and obliterate the rights of huge segments of the US population went and wished him well after his ear was grazed by a paper airplane, condemning all celebrations of this as morally repugnant? And the same for when he caught Covid years ago? Why? Can people only be disrespected when they’re in perfect health with a full blood supply and intact ears?

Libs only let you disrespect when there's no risk of anything actually changing. Quite telling.

I didn't respect her when she was alive, why would I respect her now?

The only thing she's done that's worth respect is make the world a better place by dying, so o7 for that I guess.

Although you could argue she didn't have much to do with that... What a fuck up.

When imperialist ghouls die, libs demand them to be be respected

      Now when antiimperialists die...

(amount of libs ~1bil) x (cope about stalin/lib ~1k) = 1tril x evidence that libs are white supremacists

I'm willing to show some decency to her if I see you bringing the same energy to the >186,000 Palestinians martyred by the state her website will censor you for criticizing. Except whiny libs like you spend orders of magnitude more time trying to build bridges with fascists and imperialists than you do expressing empathy with their victims. When those victim's time comes, you go and hold them to a standard that you never held their oppressors up to.

      parenti-hands

And those who demand instant perfection the day after the revolution, they go up and say “Are there civil liberties for the fascists? Are they gonna be allowed their newspapers and their radio programs, are they gonna be able to keep all their farms? The passion that some of our liberals feel, the day after the revolution, the passion and concern they feel for the fascists, the civil rights and civil liberties of those fascists who are dumping and destroying and murdering people before.

As a multibillionaire capitalist, she was a woman who wielded tremendous power to shape society. The way she utilized that political power was to reproduce fascism and profit off of enormous amounts of people being programmed with a reactionary agenda. She utilized her power to commodify the basic social process of communicating ideas and informing others, and on top of monetizing this very fundamental process her service vandalizes it with a recommendation algorithm that bastardizes the information you receive to bias it towards whatever keeps you hooked longer. These decisions have led to literal thousands of lifetimes spent watching brain rotting garbage.

The aggregate of all the social harm she brought about with the very deliberate choices she made would be enough to eclipse the good any of us may achieve in our own lifetimes.

To paraphrase a tweet I really like, fascists are human; they have families, internal lives, are capable of making choices, and feel all the same emotions as you and I. But that doesn't diminish the need for them to be shot.
