Trump disappears for a week then comes back and he's using therapy language to talk about the wondeful boaters and the bad hombres.

        Casual US war crimes

        CW: war crimes

Some of those photographs, especially those taken of casualties from 2005 through 2008, show deceased enemy combatants with their skulls split open by a rifle or pistol round at the upper forehead, exposing their brain matter. The foreign fighters who suffered these V-shaped wounds were either killed in battle and later shot at close range or finished off with a security round while dying. Among members of SEAL Team 6, this practice of desecrating enemy casualties was called “canoeing.”

I think people like stephen miller wanted the fucking wall and immigration shit more than trump did. Hes still a piece of shit dont get me wrong, i just think he said what people like stephen miller told him would help him win and make his base worship him more

theres a story that dip shit lindsey graham tells about how trump was amenable to a daca agreement, then a bit later on stephen miller got in his ear and thats when he said the "why do we want people from shithole countries coming here?" comment and then rejected the deal.

i guess that was just a tldr to say trump has always been a puppet for freaks like stephen miller to me.

i wish stephen miller was called out more.

Not an original thought, but I really think would have loved having a title in a government that doesn't have a solitary chief executive. If he got to be like, the American version of the isntrael president that just gets to cut ribbons and throw handsome football player hamburger parties feast-1feast-2 and have a prime minister that does all the actual government stuff, he'd be like the happiest person alive. His perfect dream job is a fake no-show presidency where he just takes pictures smiling and shaking hands with famous big guys and hosting Our Favorite President's Tremendous Talk Show where he's basically Regis Philbin or Joan Rivers doing a Letterman kinda late night show.

He's the most American guy ever and in burgerland everyone loves gaudy distractions and treats and being told they are a good boy.

Trump would take that deal in a heartbeat.

A lot of it had a corny lib Daily Show-esque level writing, but Anthony Atamanuik's Trump impression he did playing him for the "Bernie vs Trump" comedy debates with (guy we love to see cth-logo flag-gay-pride-mlm ) James Adomian and eventually The President Show really got into his weird psychology sometimes instead of just copying his voice and appearance where he'd abruptly go from talking about how he loves the big trucks and wants to sit in the driver's seat and honk the horn to imagining himself driving it off a bridge and giving a morbid soliloquy about how he could finally be at peace then. He's one of the hardest people to satirize well imo since he's so bizarre, but weird and dark Trump satire is so much better than "he's a dang Cheeto that's gay with Putin" level shit.

Well yeah, but his ego couldn't stand being secondary to anyone, so it'd have to be like, "Super President (Cool Famous Guy)" and "Regular President (Does Boring C-SPAN Stuff.)"

I vaguely remember him making a comment after the RNC in 2016 where the press asked him what Mike Pence's role in the campaign would be, and he said something like "He'll be handling domestic and foreign policy" and the followup question being "...wait, so what are you doing then" and he just said "making America great again" and walked away.

The cynic in me thinks that once everyone realised that Trump survived AND the shooter was a Republican and not a Democrat obsessed communist, there was no reason to keep it in the news cycle. But you just know that if there was the slightest scent of leftism on him, we'd still be hearing about it to this day.

simply cannot believe the dems actually RNG'd into the greatest strategic play of all time

the absolute certainty that he had it in the bag after surviving an assassination attempt was hamstrung immediately by the fact that they could, in fact, stop committing elder abuse on a dementia patient

He seemed really low energy and not really committed before the attempt on his life, so I figure he was probably on the fence about running and this just pushed him over the edge. Usually the libs are great at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, but the republicans might be the ones doing that this time. Crazy to think that about a month ago Trump's victory against Biden was all but assured, and now the dems might actually be more likely to win.

Trump has lived such a charmed life up until this point, there is no way he could have conceived of a world where someone would shoot at him.

I totally believe that the assassination attempt completely shattered his perspective.

Being real, it's much, much stranger to imagine a scenario in which an assassination attempt doesn't shake someone to the core. I'm just glad that it broke him rather than turning the maniac dial.

could the GOP have capitalized on the wake of the shooting more? Did they botch the messaging? Everyone thought that fist-pump photo was his guaranteed ticket back to the white house. I guess it doesn't matter since (1) we live in the United States of Amnesia, says Gore Vidal. And (2) Trump has checked out anyway
