Nothing will happen here, obviously.

When we point it out as it is happening, these left-adjacent liberals wring their hands helplessly. Then, months later, they act horrified when this shit gets leaked and pretend they didn't know. I'm mad but I'm tired.

They'll do the same for Lebanon and who knows what else.

I don't know, I think right now I'm understanding the scale of evil that exists and how powerless we are.

The US is a weird beast. Regularly acts with impunity and decimated thousands of lives with no internal OR external accountability, but at the same time reliant on weird politicking to keep the killing going else some weird technicality will accidentally force them to make the world less shitty.

Idk why this hits me as hard as it does. Like obviously they were never going to let anything threaten their pet campaign of ethnic cleansing.

I think it's the little shard of 2019 Bernie bro lodged in my worldview that if all the stars aligned just, just perfectly then the US would have no choice but to back down and do the right thing, or at the very least the less wrong thing.

I think that part of me is dying, though. This is a deeply diseased country. There is no hope for it to get better. Reading things like this and then going on to live my life in this place is probably my greatest shame.

Lying to us is one thing, but gaslighting and lying to congress is a whole 'nother ball game. How congress then goes on denying their eyes, ears, and constiutuents criminalizing anyone who is loud about congress not listening.

(This also sets Blinken up to be the fall boi for hand washing and "accountability") but still LOCK HIM UP anyways.

There are no depths of depravity that this hell country won't descend to in the name of securing business interests. It's a truly demonic place.

Like half the site I'm listening to blowback 5 rn and the parallels between Israel and Cambodia are myriad. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before the world discovers israeli killing fields.

What's interesting is these aren't leftists or activists the administration is pushing back on. It's career bureaucrats trying to follow the law. One of the big scary things about project 2025/trump is supposed to be how agencies are being stripped of all independence. Liberals are supposed to defer to the experts.

Project 2025 is has been already here and they both collusion . Dems let it happen to magically give them campaign red meat to back off doing healthcare or anything else. Notice that topic is mysteriously absent in this election.

They want to get back to platitudes and 20 years until some ass on the Supreme Court dies and then be forced to do soemthing in a drawn out timeline. They don't care who suffers as long as they don't have to inconvenience the purse.

It’s crazy that it takes official “reports” to say what we could all obviously witness for it to become news. To liberals, things don’t exist until an official authority gives you permission to believe your lying eyes

when Israel kills 40000 innocent people and then blocks aid

    blob-sleep

    ..

when Venezuela blocks American aid (that in the past has been used to smuggle weapons on the continent), across a bridge that has already been closed for months, and the aid gets set on fire but actually from a right winger's molotov, while other aid is being allowed into the country from nonprofits, and USAID elsewhere in the country is being used to fund right wing parties:

Behind that pinkwashed charm offensive with a WOC girlboss at the forefront, this administration is as evil as any that came before it. Cast my mail-in ballot for De la Cruz this morning and will probably never vote Dem again in my lifetime. Just filled with utter disgust.

Would Trump even be worse for Gaza at this point? Like the Republicans are way worse domestically but the Democrats might actually be worse for foreign policy

I've been trying to tell people this for a while. Trump's incompetence makes better foreign policy results. He wasn't even able to start a war. When was the last president that didn't start a war?

Certainly seems like he tried when he killed Soleimani. I thought for sure we were getting in a war then.

Trump legitimized the occupation of the Golan Heights, moved our embassy to Jerusalem, and assassinated Suleimani. I don't think he'd be doing anything appreciably different right now.

Biden is lying to Congress so that he can keep sending weapons to Israel, which will almost certainly be used to kill civilians. Materially, there's little difference.
For the record, I don't support Trump at all. It's just a little stunning to see how far right the Democrats have gone in the last 20 years or so.

Hell, the last 7 or so

Many of the anti wall people are now aggressively for it, they defend literal genocide because 'conservatives would be worse', their candidate has come out as very pro gun...

It would be more funny if it wasn't so pathetic.

So far I've just been operating under the assumption if anybody in the state department, isreal, or r/worldnews say something it's conplete horseshit and the exact opposite is true.

Somehow nat sec people are doing a worse job of vetting information than I am.

    I'm sure it's a coincidence.
