Everything else afterward has been one brunch liberal bumblefucking after another.

Red MAGA vs Blue MAGA, yeah yeah I know, but I'd still like to see my-hero eat shit as a silver lining and she isn't helping her own chances. i-voted

It vindicates the Hillary strategy, which is actually really bad in the long run lol

Edit: actually they'll keep this strategy anyways, I think the lesson the Dems will take if Kamala loses is that people won't vote for women/POC and just bring in more white neocons

The Yankee election is a race between two horrible people about who can be the most off-putting and still bee a fraction of a percentage more popular than the other one.

Remember the giant surge of hope that the Israel policy issue might be, if not corrected, at least addressed? "The Zionism Zombie is finally gone! Maybe something can be done!" And then the dem establishment threw all that right down the tube. I think that's another reason a lot of the energy got sucked out of the room.

They even teased it a bit by not picking Shapiro. But looking back it had nothing to do with his Zionism, it was likely a murder cover up coming back to bite them in the ass.

It is kinda liberating to finally give up on them. I try not to be accelerationist so I do prefer less monsters in government so I still had this little ember of hope they wouldn't fuck it up for the rest of us because the Republicans are the party of bloody-mouthed fascism

This is why, gun to my head, I still think she'll probably win. Americans are tired of Trump and Biden and really didn't want another matchup between them, and only democrats mustered up enough good sense to give that to them.

I'm definitely sympathetic to the Trump is a known factor that people just don't want to deal with again argument, which if people feel that way, it might push her over the top.

Hell I was thinking today about another Trump presidency and was like "Oh god I don't have it in me to go through that era again".

I have been hitting garage sales in the same handful of lower-upper middle class white suburbs since 2016. That's the best hauls, best chance to get some $200 shit for a single dollar. It's also peak trump supporter.

        • In 2016 it was 75% Trump signs, 25% Hillary
        • In 2020 it was like 60% Trump signs, 40% Biden
        • In 2024 it's 60% HARRIS.

I'm seeing local republican signs and no Trump. I'm seeing houses that had Trump signs before that now have "I'm a veteran, not a loser or a sucker" (lol lmao) signs. This is a critical swing state.

For every voter they're killing in Gaza they're picking up 2 in the suburbs

Rural mountain area here and it’s like 98% Trump signs. There’s one house that has a Kamala sign (which notably says JoeBiden.com at the bottom), one had several RFK signs until last week, everything else is Trump. There’s a barn with Trump banners and signs on every inch. Big signs, small signs. Firefighters for Trump, farmers for Trump, veterans for Trump.

I was driving through a wealthy area in my city. Relatively liberal area but usually you would see some signs for the republican.

Yesterday, not a single trump sign. Every single house had the same two signs, Harris/Walz, and the mayoral opposition "independent" candidate who is literally just a reaction to the liberal mayor...allowing a bit to much high density construction and adding like two bike lanes. Basically just a NIMBY candidate who is Republican in all but name

On the flipside, there's probably plenty of people who are nostalgic about the 2017-2019 era, after how awful 2020+ has been.

So I could see that working for him.

Hello I am one of those people

Trump was awful, but Biden continued all of the awful things of Trump and made things materially worse, while also making me feel much less sane

At least with Trump in office everyone around me agrees with me that shit’s fucked

It was also easier to mobilize people under Trump than it has been under Biden. If we’re going to live in hell I’d at least the libs not be at fucking brunch.

She’s not though, she’s a George W Bush style neocon. Every single statement she makes is “I am going to be worse than Trump or Biden, mark my words.” “We’re stopping illegal immigration and going to war with Iran” is not standard brunch liberal.

I've been to actual literal brunch with actual literal brunch liberals in the past and that actually sounds like something they'd have said.

One time, at one such actual brunch, "if the Middle East was glassed tomorrow, world peace would kick in only a year later and global IQs would go up significantly; just saying" was said. libbing-out hitler-detector

538 gave Biden like 53% over Trump? Today, Kamala is 55%. Frankly, the reality is the same for both, I think we all just have the perception that Kamala is doing better than Biden because we were used to seeing through Biden propaganda, but we haven't learned to be as skeptical with the Kamala propaganda.
