It's honestly not terrible, it's medium density. I guess they'd call them brownstones in other cities, buildings with like 3 apartments in them all connected with balconies/decks in the back. Most of Baltimore's housing stock is either these or rowhomes. I'd hate living in an apartment complex.

She did a protest call and response like this

      "what do you want"

      :screm: Meow

      "When do you want it"

      :screm: Meow

My cat only meows when he thinks he's alone and my roommates cat only meows at me to get me to pet her then she runs away and hides when she has had sufficient pets

Better soundproofing and if there's genuinely disruptive neighbours (e.g. throwing loud parties every night) a better way to handle such conflicts. The rest, idk. I kinda like the fact that I can hear kids or music from my neighbours, I wouldn't want to live somewhere completely quiet. I guess living in flats vs in a rural house should be 100% choice instead of down to money, and that would already solve many problems.

The dude in the apartment next to me has this yipyap chihuahua that barks fucking constantly. Hate that thing.

The dog doesn't like to use the bathroom in the rain, so sometimes my neighbor will just let him shit on the hall floor by the building's door, then pick it up and hope nobody in the building notices. Great plan, slightly ruined by the fact that the hall then smells like shit for a week.

I get that with my neighbors too (got about 6 of them around me) and ngl it helps me feel safer. Idk, I live on a busy London street as well so the constant sound reminds me life is going on constantly around me. No time to wallow about being lonely.
