Greta is my hero for explicitly connecting the struggle for liberating the global south to addressing climate change while all the activists here in amerikkka are stanning Kamala Harris.

Is that even an unpopular take? I guess straight up denying climate change is mainstream, but if those that think anthropomorphic climate change is real, how many of them believe the market will handle it? And of those that do, how many are just being impotent doomers?

This is just red meat for those who believe it doesn't need a solution and good faith for like 17 or 18 libs

The overwhelming majority of libs I talk to about climate change say, when really pressed on it, "Yeah there's no way we're stopping climate change, so I'm going to continue to go on international flights and eat all the meat I want since we're doomed anyway".

I always thought "capitalism will save the environment" people were just being duped by the carbon credits or cap and trade grifts.

    Marxism-Leninism-Greta Thunberg Thought occurs

Seriously though, it's amazing to see how tables have turned and the media that praised her now try to portray her as a menace.

It's like the third rail. The second you touch it, the media and forces of capital punish you. Same thing happened to MLK, Jr if I recall, when he started connecting racial justice to poverty, economic justice, and socialism.

I admit that I dismissed her activism as liberalism when I first heard of her and the blob tried to use her for their green capitalism bullshit but she has really grown on me since.
