K (189?–?) Soviet pioneer. From Kazan, Tartarstan, USSR, K was diagnosed as a ‘transvestite’ in 1937.

She was given permission by the People’s Court to wear female clothing, her identity papers were changed to her female name, and her name was removed from the military recruitment rolls.

She was featured in a 1957 gynaecology textbook.

    I've lived with two close friends, not at the same time but one after another. The roommate relationship was like poison to the friendship for us as well. The first one just isolated herself, I felt bad because I think she thought we took up all the space and she couldn't step out. The second one wanted WAY MORE closeness, like she got mad that I ate supper because "she was planning on all of us eating together" but like, I didn't know that plan and I was hungry right then...

    It was all too easy to let the friendship slip, cause you live together you don't have to make plans to maintain the friendship, right? But of course you do, it still takes effort and then inevitably there's some regular conflict like she won't do the dishes as often or she is way too loud with her, uh, gentlemen callers while I'm working from home or whatever. That side you don't see or at least aren't as affected by if you're friends that don't live together, and it does damage the friendship.
