I can see a lot of people becoming alienated after being scolded over nothing. Reading like 6 different pinned mod threads about how not selecting a pronoun label makes you transphobic has very much lessened the time I've spent here lately.

I absolutely felt alienated and angry that all these unnecessary accusations were flying around, and I didn't even engage.

I added my pronouns to be nice and I didn't realize we could do it post creation, but holy shit there was DEFINITELY some people actively starting shit. If I had anywhere else to go to feel like an accepted leftist I probably would have. The bullying really activated my fight response because it had the same energy as the traumatic shit I went through where the bullies had the powers-that-be behind them and knew they wouldn't face any consequences. I'm aggressive as hell with the enemy, but man I couldn't hold a candle to a lot of stuff being said. Nobody was stepping back and listening, just fucking accusatory baiting.

So I to made a thread that would try to humanize everyone and remind us we're on the SAME TEAM and I actually wanted to know more about. Helped me calm down, but the fact remains that I feel like I would be thrown under the bus at any second by my allies for not passing every purity test. I'm sure that isn't an exclusive feeling. Call me a class reductionist, but we have history to fight. Not each other.

Trans girl. I absolutely hated and LOATHED those repulsive allies. No material help, stupid radical liberalism presented with the most hateful narcissism and character assassination. I hope they rot. Go ahead and ban me for “being a terf”.

I am a class reductionist. All the best trans girls I’ve met are. I’m proud to be a class reductionist. So is Amber.

Saw a comment in the resolution thread earlier, grandstanding how we can grow as a community by being more polite when calling out reactionaries in the future. May just be irony-poisioning but I felt the urge to tell them to log off. But instead I did that myself, cooked some and practiced the guitar. And it felt good.

Probably laying low, i popped in to complain about maoist struggle sessions (newsflash, the same people paroting the rhetoric like to ignore that it was used against gay and transpeople) and the people who regardless of ideology also lick mod boot after purges (you see it all the time on sites like reddit and ah) and was immediately banned for transphobia. Apparently asking for a bad/bitch after seeing there was a deer option went too far. I'll be making a chapoauto.zone splinter forum when the lemmy integration is done lol.

How can one "see" people becoming alienated if the alienation leads them to not engage with threads or post, isn't that just an assumption then, the whole struggle session took like what 7 threads over the course of two days, I easily ignored all of them, wasn't that hard

      Y'all sound a little butthurt

The word "see" is a 'turn of phrase' now, since when? And what do their pronouns have to do with anything?

They made a claim about folks getting alienated and I'm asking for proof, why y'all being weird

Yes, I took the obvious declarative statement literally, as in they had "seen" people making posts or comments describing their deeply felt alienation over a boring-ass struggle session, and not simply talking out their ass making wild assume-oh I'm sorry "prEdiCtiOns" about shit they're just guessing is happening..somewhere??? You do realize your reading of their comment makes them look dumb af right?

If I didn't think their sentence meant "I predict" I wouldn't have called it an assumption, and you still can't accept that regardless of whether it's a prediction, its still a declarative statement about something that will happen, not a "turn of phrase" I was being generous and assuming they had something to BACK UP THEIR DECLARATIVE PREDICTION, but you are right they were just making a baseless conjecture

Uh yes, their prediction can't be confirmed if nobody actually sees the alienation they're predicting taking place, which makes their claim unfalsifiable horseshit, which is why I had assumed they had seen something to back that prediction up, and led to me asking them WHAT WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

Which led to you misunderstanding what the term "turn of phrase" means

Which led to me making a pronoun Faux pas, largely because I confused your pronouns with theirs?

Which led to you revealing you didn't have a childhood since you don't know what Shrek is

I just stated the meaning of the turn of phrase they used because it looked like you didn't know what it meant.

Then you somehow managed to misgender them twice, when we all have our pronouns right next to our names, in a thread about a fucking pronoun struggle session.

You then argued that "I can see [thing i predict]" isn't a turn of phrase (it is)

Then you accused me of "white knighting" but tried to be cute about it

                                                            That's it

                                                            That's all this thread is

Does "turn of phrase" mean something different in British land, you literally don't know what the term means, since you confused a declarative statement that used the word "see" as an Intransitive Verb, there is no expression being used, they clearly thought they would literally see (as in the action of seeing regarding the action of reading) a state of alienation as a result of the struggle session

If they used the word "see" as an idiom then their comment is gibberish

Then you somehow managed to misgender them twice,

Yeah, I just felt the day as a whole seemed slow, but might have just been because there were so many comments yesterday. I imagine the number of comments made was at least few times larger than usual? All those threads had hundreds of comments.

I’ll be making a chapoauto.zone splinter forum when the lemmy integration is done lol.

I have no idea what caused that. I'll ask the devs what it could be. But since it was corrected I suspect maybe some buggy code being pushed to prod and then getting corrected.
