She really got off too easy on this story.

It was a puppy she totally failed to train or socialize so after a year instead of just giving it to a shelter for somebody who isn't a pos to raise she took it out back and shot it.

So cool to know the head of homeland security doesn't have the patience or emotional intelligence to train a dog, seems like that should work out fine.

Holy shit, reading the article.. it really was bloodlust. It'd be cartoonish if it weren't so fucked up. First she shot the dog, then shot the goat- failed to kill them in one hit- and went and shot them again.

At that point, Noem said, she realised a construction crew had watched her kill both animals. “The startled workers swiftly got back to work, only for a school bus to arrive and drop off Noem’s children.”

this thought just occurred to me, so I haven't really considered it, but does it seem to anyone else that Trump's picks are consistently the most provocative candidates. basically the assholes in the room that have a lot of enemies. the sort of people that more normal leaders might generally sideline to avoid headaches.

it occurs to me that aside from jacking up his base, it would also be a strategy for loyalty among your hand selected team. it's not like these people would rise to this level otherwise. the popular kid might turn against you because they have their own friends and plans. puppy killer ain't going anywhere without daddy.

Owning the libs is the #1 priority for every Trump voter with a net worth south of 10 mil.

Honestly I don't think any of us can even blame them for it. It's just how they try to do so that is the issue...

I honestly don't think there's a strategy here outside of doing like a supergroup of the dumbest people on the planet.

This is the farce. I do not believe any of these people are capable of the sort of calculating thought needed to enact their wish list of policies in any way that actually matters.

It's literally just to get the hogs squealing and to own the libs. Trump's effectively doing a TV show

I understand the ableist connotations of the phrase but the inmates really are running the asylum. The people in power now are not the ones cynically peddling the protocols of the elders of zion, now a whole generation of true believers are taking the helm. Shit is gonna be real bad folks.

I get that they truly believe this shit, I just don't see them being able to hold the helm of this ship for very long before crashing it directly into the rocks in a spectacular fashion

I do think they will try to get their wishlist, I just do not believe they will in a way that matters and will be able to enforce it lol. Like yeah they got "voted" in, but the fervor is not there in the masses like would be needed for actual factual sparkling fascism to take hold.

I think we're in the farce

Edit: at least that's what is publicly facing us. If there's some actual ideologues behind the scenes using this, that's another story. I don't see Trump willingly being used as a mascot like that, but maybe they found a way to tame him idk

alternative explanation: trump processes everything through the lens of TV and having the most heinously evil advisors/cabinet makes for better TV than a room full of empty suits

Honestly I think a large part of it is that they've been in the news so he's heard their names.

To be fair here, have you seen dog owners? Like I have had a couple too many encounters with dogs that I wasn't sure if they wanted to lick my face or if they wanted to rip my face off.

It also doesn't help that I just don't like anything/one getting in my face for any reason to begin with. So I can understand why anyone would hate dogs.
