Tbf the UK would have used veto power too if they didn't only need one veto to stop it and are esentially pretending like they support a ceasefire to avoid bad PR, probably the same thing for a least a few of the other countries on the council like France and Japan, although I'm 100% confident the UK is faking it and less so for the other countries
For the US, the only ceasefire is one in which every Palestinian is slaughtered and they are definitely working tirelessly for that
