I've been reading Nixonland and my biggest takeaway so far is that we have been living in Richard Nixon's America for the last 60 years. You mean to tell me, you don't know how to combat racist demagoguery, opportunists, and right-wing sickos? You mean to tell me that we just get to sit and watch the so-called adults in the room flail in the same way the liberals (who were nominally BETTER, because they believed in funding government programs) flop and scream "not fair not fair".

Not to sound cringe or joker-che , but Americans deserve better crooks politicians.

How many more of these stinking, double-downer sideshows will we have to go through before we can get ourselves straight enough to put together some kind of national election that will give me and the at least 20 million people I tend to agree with a chance to vote FOR something, instead of always being faced with that old familiar choice between the lesser of two evils?

I listened to ~4 minutes before I couldn't stand anymore. I shouldn't have bothered to listen to a single second. I made two mistakes. First - I didn't read the OP's comment. Second - I didn't look at the Youtube comments.

This interview was absolutely bananas. They admit zero fault. What a disaster.

    ---

This interview is like a microcosm of everything wrong with the Dem's strategy. Instead of looking at what the voters are saying and taking those criticisms seriously, everyone on this panel is arguing that they ran a great campaign and the voters just wouldn't listen. Lecturing everyone about why what they did was right and it's not their fault no one listened.

    ---

"We were successful to a point" is the most gaslighting way to say they failed.

    ---

“Actually, we did really, really good. It was, like, super hard.”

    ---

An entire team talking over 90 mins and not ONE good answer to a single question…this is actually WORSE than I thought.

    ---

There was an arrogance, lack of self awareness, and denial of reality to these interviewees in this conversation that perhaps gives a picture of what was going wrong before Kamala became the candidate they were campaigning for. Hearing one of them refer to people as “regular voters” stood out to me as an elitist attitude also emblematic of a core problem IMO.

seriously, beyond the psychopathy, the lack of introspection, the complete lack of humanity, these people are just extremely bad at their jobs at a technical level. they're just factually wrong about this shit, about things that even the incompetent-ass trump campaigners weren't wrong about. "kamala was very loyal to biden, she didn't want to set the precedent of breaking with his policy" is the most deeply unserious perspective from the people who want to convince everyone that they're the last thin wall between amerikkka and a fascist dictatorship. they just have zero fucking attachment to reality as it exists, no functioning theory of social dynamics.

It's the most important election of your life, but not more important than my loyalty to this corpse.
