Anyone have advice for dealing a adhd without meds I cant seem to get started on shit and when I do I get sucked into a hobby instead of finishing. Ive been to a dr and no dice.
only thing that ever worked for me was getting emotionally worked up about whatever it was I needed to do. absolutely sucked and was probably traumatizing but it did work. 4/10, would not recommend unless you're desperate.
What kind of shit are you trying to do? A lot of the time my meds just hyperfocused me onto my hobbies or useless tasks instead, which w. as exactly what happened before except on vyvanse I was talking way too fast the whole time and distracted myself for 12 hours instead of 2. I don't have any guaranteed strategies but I always recommend that you remind yourself that you literally cannot stop yourself from having adhd, you can only overcome it but not overcoming it on a task or a day or a month doesn't mean failure, it just means you're living with a condition that makes your life harder.
My partner was in a similar situation and if you have not already I can recommend looking at ADHD comorbidities like rejection sensitive dysphoria or ADHD induced OCD. For them, it put a lot of things in perspective where things they thought were previously personal failings were actually caused by that ADHD "original sin", so to speak.

I'm told this is a solid resource
Thanks I'll check it out. Is it a game?
Not really, the author just decided to use game-making tools to lay it out
