Red Faction. Rented it way back when I was 12 or 13 expecting a garden variety FPS and got a game where you carry out a communist revolution.

Yes. Often a frustrating show, but the ripping of woke PR digital-age capitalism is excellent

Haven't watched all of S2 yet, but I see it as left because:

Vought is y'know, capitalism incarnate, and with it comes a shitload of corruption, 'lobbying', a literal Nazi, some more sociopaths, rapists, etc.

Then the whole supe terrorist thing feels like an allegory for Iran WMD's, Bin Laden - just about any american shit fuckery in the middle east that gives the US a reason to keep being the world police and keep making the military budget bigger.

And finally how it just constantly rips the piss out of woke PR teams.

I totally forgot about the whole allies with the CIA thing to be honest.

Partially true. Imagining that the CIA are the good guys is hilarious. I'm still in S1, pls no spoiler

There’s that episode of Spongebob where him and Squidward go on strike. In which Squidward says “With your support, we will send the hammer of the people's will crashing through the windows of Mr. Krabs' house of servitude!”

I just rewatched all of Gravity Falls

A surprising amount of Anti-Capitalism for a Disney cartoon.

That episode of futurama where Bender teams up with a Marxist greeting card to shed the chains of human oppression.

American Dad where Roger plays an insane chud named Frank who by his own admission is “essentially a cop”. Proceeds to try and murder Steve, his friends and terrorizes his girlfriend and kids.

The Great Recession episode of IASIP.

Fargo (movie and show) while it isn’t explicitly leftist, i would argue it at least is anti-capitalist, as it is often revolving around characters killing each other for money and power only for none of it to matter in the end. This one I admit is a stretch but I’m interested to see if anyone else gets this vibe from Fargo.

Really? I was hopeful but I feel the show starts slowly descending into a mostly libertarian theme with the fetishized idea of frontiersmanship and rugged individualism.

It’s kinda backed up by one of the two authors being a Libertarian.

Westworld, but you have to watch all 3 seasons.

This gives me hope. I quit watching after season 2 because the whole season kinda lost the rush of season 1 and it just seemed like it turned into yet another contest to see who could make the most cynical tv show. It really got to me

Idk I'm not done with it, but Mad Men constantly often has commie characters pop in and spit some truth (though they're often not exactly woke). Pretty sure it's not a commie thing to have those characters, but they seem like the only level-headed people in the show.

The first ten minutes of The Guest make it seem like a Lifetime movie about how war in the middle east is a hard but noble sacrifice American families make. Instead it's in insanely fun movie that I won't spoil.
