The part that got me was the "worried about negative social media comments". Like if that's what you're worried about after you fucking murder two people something is seriously wrong with you.

I'm so bad at thinking critically about these things now. Everyone is in the replies going "I cant believe they wrote this article humanizing him, disgusting". It took me a minute because I was thinking this article was to indulge people like me. I dont feel bad that he feels like shit, he should! It's good he feels bad!

god fucking dammit, there's never one fucking article sympathetic to the mental state of an accused black male 17-year-old suspect

I'm probably crazy but seems like he's just having a good time and the pig is treating him like he would treat his own grandson or his own fragile old mother.

He's getting sent to Kenosha to stand trial and his lawyer's request for him to be released was denied at least.

It's nice that they didn't just usher him back out the door when he turned himself in, but I would be amazed if he was convicted of more than manslaughter. And depending on Wisconsin's stand-your-ground laws he might be in the clear there as well.

Wisconsin doesn’t have a stand your ground law

Oh yeah I'm not celebrating till he's convicted and I think you're right that manslaughter is the most he is going to get despite it being pretty clear based on his social media posts that he really wanted to murder protesters.

Yeah, there's no question that he wanted to kill someone. It's Zimmerman all over again, putting himself into a situation that he knows he'll he able to defend in court based on the letter of he law. In my eyes that just makes him worse than most murderers, who act in the heat of the moment. This is a kid who sat at home thinking about how he could get away with killing someone.

idk about sources but trying to argue "self defense" doesn't exactly work when you put yourself into a situation that makes you into an agitator. You can't go up to a person and yell at them and push them around and then shoot them and claim "self defense" when they try to take a swing at you.

In that case you should congratulate your brother on agreeing that protestors should be able to shoot back at the cops that fire upon them first. After all, isn't that just self defense? And they have the right to protest in the first place, right?

I think he did have like a statutory rape conviction but one wonders what the ages involved are. Having to register as a sex offender is an effective means by which a young black man's life can be utterly ruined by cops.

If the story originates from the guy having to register as a sex offender, keep in mind that you can get put on that list for urinating in public, too.

He was from 4chan. That nakes him an unconvicted pedofile and you dont get points for being to lazy to get caught.
