Pineapple and bell pepper is a fantastic combo.

I also like pineapple on a BBQ style pizza. We most recently did BBQ pulled jackfruit, onion, broccoli, bell pepper, pineapple, and sliced habanero (under the cheese with the sauce), and it was great.

The key to a good BBQ pizza, IMO, is using both red sauce and BBQ sauce. They compliment each other really well.

Pinapple with banana peppers and maybe mushrooms to try and replace the ham has been my go to pizza for a while

I'm still working toward liking mushrooms on pizza. I may never get there.

Mushrooms are great for flavoring sauces and gravy, ok chopped up in dishes, but I am not a mushroom texture fan, for the most part.

I don't personally like jalapenos (they taste kind of like burnt plastic to me), that sounds like an excellent combo if you do like them. Scotch bonnets and habaneros work really well, too.

Or banana peppers for a little less spiciness.

Weird notes that combine to form a chord. Voltron. Captain Planet.

      Heat, Savory, Citrus.

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

May I inquire, are you self-taught or classically trained?

          Best of both worlds.

Throw some pepperoni in there, if ya'll not opposed. Tear it up and place it vertically, so it extends beyond the cheese layer, get crispy.

back then the majority seemed to prefer that individual's choices of pizza toppings be respected.

There is a North East United States Self Styled Italian Type on my Facebook who considers himself on the left but only does three things: bitch about SJWs, talk about the importance of Columbus Day, and rail against pineapple on pizza.

So comrades, in order to stick it to this guy, the party stance must be pro pineapple on pizza.

Do whatever you want, as for me and my house, we shall not put pineapple on our pizza.

Depends on the flavor profile of the rest of the pizza. Regular sauce cheese and shit? War crime, directly to gulag. Sweeter toppings to pair with the zing of the pineapple? We can negotiate the seriousness of your crimes.

Umm excuse me but bbq pizza is both sweet and acceptable. Grab your rock hammer and go straight to the work camps.

BBQ is good in the first place entirely because it balances the sweet and the vinegar. Add a little spicy, and more savory sides like mac n cheese and collard greens, and that's what makes a BBQ dinner work.

BBQ pizza is no different. Need the onions and peppers to balance out the sweeter BBQ sauce. Also, using a tomato base with BBQ on the top helps keep the pie balanced.

Any toppings beyond pepperoni are degenerate

We must secure the existence of plain food, and a future for boring pizza
