Not that I'd want him to of course.

Tax cuts for the rich, rolling back parts of Obamacare, worse immigration policy, being very racist

I'm pretty sure his actual promises vis-a-vis taxes were to tax billionaires more by "Closing loopholes" (Something he would never do). And I think his promise was a wall specifically, not just tighter immigration.

The wall was part of a broader immigration plan. You may be right about billionaire taxes.

he did reduce deductions for upper-middle-class coastal homeowners. Not the same thing, but still funny.

At least temporarily. It was signed by several other countries with some of the worst US terms stripped out. The Biden administration will absolutely try to get back into that property regime, even in its weakened form, but it may not have the same ability to dictate further terms.

Yea, but the decision can be reversed now. There was a 4 year opt out period that ends in like January, so he didn't follow through on that one.

Parts of the Muslim ban, honestly if any dem went to bat for me as hard as trump does his constituents I'd be cautiously excited.

For real... I think the question should be as any recent president achieved anywhere near as many election promises as Trump, sure they mostly suck (except not getting into another war) but he actually pushed for them, even the ones he didn't succeed on, most through their policy book out on day one and never look back.

I've been so gaslit I genuinely don't know whether the wall exists or not

It doesn't. There was a fence when he took office, and he ubilt like a "Test wall" but not the actual wall.

Right, the one he did photo ops with. I'm glad he took the Chapo advice and just told everyone the wall was built, since his supporters (and my stupid ass apparently) would believe him anyway.

You're missing a step. Which is that the embezzled money came from a gofundme set up by some dude who claimed he was going to build the wall for Trump using private funds, "because congress refused to give him the money for the wall".

I forgot about the gofund me. Didn't they take federal funds as well though?

I don't think so, I think it was purely a grift on the MAGApedes.

He built a wall. Not that it’s any good or covers a meaningful amount of the Mexico-US border, but it’s a wall

Most of it was there already for Bush's 2006 act and then more under Obama
