its not that we weren't there on reddit (or other corners of the internet), its that you learn real fucking quick that its a bad idea to openly be a woman/not cis online. If anyone asks you're a guy, and for the love of god do not turn your mic on.

watching other women who didn't grow up online try to get into like gaming or whatever is awful - they don't have the same common sense instincts and can get treated horrifically for it. Its nice to have somewhere where we probably don't have to exercise the same precautions in order to not be fucked with.

100% one time back in like 2016 when i was 14 and sucked at using social media i posted something along the lines of “i need more friends that like eletronic music, if you do kik me [insert my kik]” on twitter. it didn’t take more than 10 secs until I received a dick pic. i ended up having to delete my tweet as half an hour in i already had my inbox flooded with “hi cutie 😍”’s and “wanna exchange pics?”’s.

That's true, we're trying to set an example for how thing should be. And in the proces we should go down hard on people being absolute dogshit.

I'm a cis dude, but I changed my username in League to something which makes people assume I'm a woman. The difference in the sort of abuse you get when people assume that (though it's terrible regardless) is so noticeable.

When I was a little boy I did that, and then when I hit puberty I made all my RPG character a bunch of hot himbo thots.

      Welcome out!

It's in your profile. Click your name (upper right) then edit pronouns in the settings page.

I hear it's weirdly placed on mobile but I'm not on mobile so I don't know.

If you go to your profile and go to the right on desktop and the bottom on mobile there should be a settings menu with the first option as setting your pronouns. It's dope :cat-trans:

I still firmly believe that everyone on the internet is a dog. Except me, of course. Shit.

this is cool, but im on cyborg theme and the pronouns are way too bright. they're brighter than usernames and stick out like a sore thumb lol
