I once explained neoliberalism as the ideology that tried to save money by selling the carrot but then it found out it had to spend money to invest in a bigger stick.
They are basically promoting a return to feudalism at this point. We are pretty much headed towards neo-feudalism by the look of things.

In their mind, they see it as "it just feels right that only niche or specialized labor should receive a living wage, because ANYONE could flip burgers or put ice cream in a cone, and if ANYONE could receive a living wage doing general labor, that would be bad. NO I WONT EXPLAIN WHY"
