its probably bad that the whole event happened, but i recently heard an msnbc host saying shit like "imagine if the mob got to mike pence or nancy pelosi, its unthinkable" and now i kinda think the event wasnt deadly enough (parody) (in minecraft)

Imagine if a pro-Hillary mob killed Trump. She'd express less than zero remorse.

Oh god, imagine the takes that would emerge from libs trying to celebrate while also pretending the lapse in norms and decorum matters to them.

"Executing the CHEETO was a patriotic act. But spelling 'FUCK GOP' on the President's desk using his entrails signals a decline in the spirit of bipartisanship."

NPR is like the epitome of mild mannered liberal discourse that doesn't take any stance because it sees itself as above ideology.

I remember hearing on Citations Needed that they wouldn't even call Trump a liar, when it was clearly evident thats the majority of his rhetoric, because the dictionary definition mentions intent and no one can ever know his intent...

NPR pushed me to the left because of shit like this

Also because I really used to like their podcast, Planet Money, because they did decent reporting on economic topics. But they always seemed to miss the point and at the end of every episode were like "welp guess that's just the way it is no way we're ever going to solve this problem" NO KENNY MALONE IT'S BECAUSE CAPITALISM. JUST SAY CAPITALISM GODDAMMIT!

They receive zero real hand to hand combat training. It's all either "de-escalation techniques" or macing and then deadly force. It's very zero to sixty. One of them getting their ass kicked to death by a boomer isnt surprising.

from the videos i've seen (chuds chasing the black cop through the capitol building and chuds in the pushing contest in the narrow doorway turning the cop into a tube of toothpaste), it seems the cops had strict orders to not use force

On my 34 minute commute this morning NPR brought up Trump's impeachment 7 separate times

I've finally gotten enough podcasts in order that I don't have to do this anymore, and it feels just so, so liberating.

I still wake up to my radio set to NPR, though. It's somehow both better and worse than waking up to a buzzer.

Npr doesn’t do commercials (except pledge drive, then I listen to silence) and everyone has a nice radio voice on it

Ngl my local station (KPCC) is not awful as far as local programming goes. National shows like Morning Edition or All Things Considered I'll shut off immediately. I have a fucking stack of audiobooks I haven't started yet so I wont turn on the radio for the foreseeable future.

Love how no one talks about how the dead cop probably would’ve been there anyway if he was off duty.

To be fair, you do have to assume they have guns. it's kind of their thing.
