Yeah, the roads that the cars are stuck on aboveground would be totally fuckin' sweet if they were underground, where crashes are 1000% more likely to start a fire hot enough to melt people.

I can't wait to suffocate and die in a tunnel because the fire is consuming all the oxygen

It's so much worse than just suffocation. Listen to any of the Well There's Your Problem episodes about tunnel fires including the recent one about the Chunnel fire. Essentially tunnel fires burn hotter than most fires and can make extremely bizarre chemical reactions happen.

Huh, that sorta makes sense now that I think about it. The tunnel acting like a blast furnace is the effect I am imagining.

    Car: emits toxic gases

Big brain elon: "okay but what if we trapped those gases underground, with the people"

Nah. Only rich people with trendy electric cars get to go down in the tunnels. Electric fire is the discerning gentleman's preferred way to die underground. That and drowning, apparently.

Ashlee Vance has shown how the main ambition of Musk’s Hyperloop proposal, an unproven form of transportation using vacuum tubes to go long distances at high speeds, was to get California’s proposed high-speed rail system canceled:

Musk had dished out the Hyperloop proposal just to make the public and legislators rethink the high-speed train. He didn’t actually intend to build the thing. With any luck, the high-speed rail would be canceled. Musk said as much to me during a series of e-mails and phone calls leading up to the announcement.

It's weird - I can't source the quote beyond that article I copied the above text from. And also, Ashlee Vance (a guy btw) was the one who wrote that biography of Elon Musk that you see around everywhere. It looks like propaganda, but maybe the email claim is from there?

There's also a lot of limestone, which causes massive sinkholes which will need to be filled if you want to support this kind of infrastructure. Best bet is to try and get Musk to fund research on the substructure beneath Miami to try and find more of these sinkholes before they collapse.

Why would I want to drive a car underground! Just let me ride an electric train like we've had for 100 years before the auto manufacturers destroyed them

Dear lord, he's still talking after the "COVID will be over soon lol" debacle?

I'm trying really hard not to insult him in a non-poggers way.

Well, this kind of exposure isn't making him many favours tbh. Shit like "COVID will be over by April" will stick, add a few more Elon Muskian lines and it could spell disaster for his shitty image.

I mean I used to have friends who were big Musk fans, now they kinda hate him after he called a professional diver a "Pedophile" because he wouln't let him rescue some kids with a shitty submarine...
