based on how fast we're speedunning late antiquity I'd say we're about a year away

With websites compiling every word Q has ever posted, doesn't seem like it would be much of a leap, I wouldn't be surprised if it had already been printed and sold as a holy book

I suppose you could say thats what "QAnon: An Invitation to the Great Awakening" is. I remember the Qanon Anonymous guys talking about it and its almost like the apostles of the bible, big figures of the Qanon sphere writing what they think about it.

a period of the later roman empire that consistently parallels the current day. see: initial pandemic and the ferment of new religions in the imperial core

Same for the cult of Demeter and Persephone just because they had the Eleusinian Mysteries - basically a bunch of people coming together and taking psychedelics spiritually.

not off the top of my head but the wikipedia page for the crisis is pretty thorough for an intro, also it's a pretty frequent topic on trillbilly

I don't have a book recommendation but I just looked through old episodes of Mike Duncan's podcast "The History of Rome" and I think I found the episode where he starts discussing that period. According to Wikipedia the assassination of Emperor Severus Alexander is what kicked off the crisis so this seems like a good place to dive in:

Episode 106 Barbarian at the Gate

After bungling a campaign in the east, Alexander headed to the Rhine where he was assassinated by Maximinius Thrax in 235 AD.

I listened to that whole series once the pandemic started. It’s crazy how much late Rome mirrors the last 20 years or so

Yeah it's been a little unnerving listening to the series right now. I'll be following along with an episode and then suddenly it'll dawn on me that we're basically doing the exact same things.

Forgot to add this to the other post, but I came across an episode index someone at the University of Wisconsin created for the podcast. It breaks down the episodes by century. Might be helpful in the future if you come across a specific era that interests you:

              http://www.sal.wisc.edu/~jwp/thor-episode-index.html

              Anyway, hope that helps!

Holy shit, they actually call him Q on the show. I haven't watched an episode in years, gonna be so strange to hear that now. I'm sure they'll change it too.
