They actually worked themselves into a paradox in real time. Respecting private property is a core pillar of their ideology but so is the vague notion of "freedom", so you end up at this conflict.
Respecting private property means being able to tell Bad People to fuck off. They're not used to being the Bad People to someone else inflexible and more powerful
and a bunch of hotel employees being paid in discounted room vouchers to deal with these assholes
It looks like CPAC this year might be even crazier than the average Libertarian party convention

It isn't incoherent. Republicans have never given a shit about private property rights. They have always been the "fuck you, I do what I want" party.
Turns out all these complicated discussion about rights and negative vs positive liberty and all was just code for "I own a car lot I get to do what I want".
The chapo episode where they go to CPAC is absolutely hilarious. I don't know how well it holds up, but I remember laughing my ass off when I listened to it.
Listened to it last night, it's still good. They mention that they would have liked to experience it with a dem in office to see the united CPAC with less factions which I don't think is gonna happen.
I remember one part when Matt started ranting about it being a dark ritual for black magic or something that really resonated with me, and was extremely funny at the same time.
I liked his analysis that alot of this crowd was apathetic doomers. They know everything is fucked, they believe fixing anything is futile, so just enjoy an ice cream cone while civilzation declines into destitution. That really helped me just stop caring what chuds say. We have won the thought war, any verbal arguments are just an attempt to claw back a little power for their side. That's how we get the seals barking "freedom" when being told to respect property rights.
Hm, that's a good point. I might have to listen to the episode again.
I try to imagine my life where a mask is something I get worked up about over say all the other shit I have to worry about.
