    Hamas uses their own population

There it is. They just can't help themselves in equivocating Hamas and Palestinians. I'm glad my spouse hasn't really had to deal with this kind of back and forth, she's stressed enough as is. I am glad that she's the person who hosts the Muslim student union in her classroom, considering the current psychopathy of the average American.

It's not inflammatory rhetoric to say that Palestinian civilians are only dying because they're human shields.

Specifically bringing up schools, hospitals and churches is grade A telling on yourself chefs-kiss

All those people in Nagasaki and Hiroshima were just human shields covering the Japanese empire.

    Imagine saying that without irony.

They were aiming for the executives in the Twin Towers. Unfortunately they were using workers as human shields. That’s just how it is.

What, do you deny George Bush’s Mohammed Atta’s right to defend himself?

morshupls Most of my family was killed by Nazis (Germans) in the Holocaust so now I get to kill your family (not Germans) and take their homes.

Seriously disgusting for that person to bring up the Holocaust in this context.

Some of the discourse surrounding this is terrifying. There is a justifiable response of anger and sadness to the videos being shared from when Hamas came into settlements, but the fact that the videos of the dead Palestinians are being suppressed should show directly that this is a one sided propaganda war.

Something that people dismiss with the thought terminating cliche of "oh so you support the slaughter of innocent Israelis" without ever acknowledging that propaganda is about the emphasis of Israeli civilians being more important than Palestinian civilians.

        Underatandble? Maybe. Justifiable? Absolutely not.

Easy solution to not getting killed by slaves: don't be a slaver. Easy solution to not getting killed by native people: don't be a settler. Just don't fucking steal their homes and force them into a ghetto.

Insofar as any were innocent (children, for instance, cannot be expected to understand colonialism), their deaths are ultimately the responsibility of the colonizer state that put them in the path of violence.

You're all good lol, I'm always happy to have someone tell me when I'm using incorrect language so I don't do it again. Especially because I live in the US South and what I hear day to day is totally wrong.

I saw some videos of Hasan with some folks who have historical knowledge of what went on in Palestine for decades; it's utterly horrifying the stuff they recounted.

You may be aware of the information mentioned in these videos, but in case you might be curious (they're long but very informational):

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nGwE6DBHe0

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXF5C2c0UYs

The stuff the colonizing forces got up to is utterly psychotic, and 100% this is what our country would be doing to the natives today if we were still trying to steal their land (arguably more brutal though because we wouldn't care about international opinion, and we don't need the support of a powerful country; we are the powerful country). People supporting Israel today would absolutely support the settlers who brutally took over America.

All I have to say is that a lot of American Jews are generic progressive libs on most issues and are about ten degrees to the right of Adolph Hitler if you ask them about Palestine.

. Hasbara organizations are very effective at providing things like speakers, literature, programming and travel targeting mainstream American Jewish organizations. I am speaking of synagogues, schools, college Hillels. “Stand with Israel” has been a nearly involuntary response at least since The 90s and probably before.

I got a big dose of it in the '90s, but according to my parents it was even worse before that.

Hell, my gf's parents were taught in the '70s that Palestine was literally entirely empty pre-1948.

I've been extremely side-eye-1 side-eye-2 at my own district regarding anything tied to my work, especially on my way out, so I don't get anything damning on my record because obedience and allegiance is everything in Burgerland.

uses email list for political purposes

" . . . I am worried that the list is being used for political purposes"

Disingenuous fuck trying to get the last word by having it both ways.

I started skimming so I missed them trotting out the Holocaust to say claims of genocide (with no prior comparison to the Holocaust) are "offensive". God, fuck this person.

The only people worse than the isralis are south koreans. And than proceed to list of loudly asll the war crimes he saw the south koreans commiit to basically any one they suspected of being a Communist.

      It was an intense brunch.

B-based Korean War vet? Good to see some of the people who learned something from that war didn't have it erased by lead poisoning, I guess.

More Americans wanted to defect during that war than Vietnam. Plenty of people expected WW2 again, and it was, but this time they were the Nazis.

I know that many soldiers hated the war, I'm just surprised that they're still alive and their brains haven't been re-wormed by the empire in all these decades.
