Everything is fucked up about this. The fact this brutalized community needs to live on a ranch to feel safe. Even after they move away from people they’re lives continue to be threatened.

It's similar to Oregon in some ways. Trendy upper urban areas with lots of libs and some lefty folks. Rural areas are lots of ranching, oil and gas, etc.
Yeah, it's extremely similar to Washington and Oregon. Most of the population is on the Front Range corridor, stretching from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs. It's about as Ameri-progressive as it gets. But once you leave that urban area, you're in chud nation.
Honestly it's generally applicable to almost every western state. Central valley CA is very right wing. Rural northern CA too.
There's a liquor store or church in every run down strip mall. Its the American dream.
I live in the Springs and it sucks tbh. The nice places closest to the mountains are full of the biggest conservative morons while the newer area around Powers is becoming a modern american hellscape.
