:kim-drip:
It's 100% true that k-pop industry is nigh-on slavery. But this article is absurd! It spends like 2 paragraphs talking about K-pop, then pivots and says "Akshually, North Korea has no proof of this well-documented fact that we all know to be true, and they are doing human rights abuses too!(citation needed)" It finishes with a wet fart of an accusation against NK that 'they have no culture except what the government allows!"
North Korea should have included some blurry satellite photographs of a building complex in Seoul to serve as "proof".
"Adrian Zenz claims up to 20 million k-pop artists are being held in captivity in these locations grainy satellite photos of SK Pizza Huts we weren't allowed into the facilities, but we captured evidence of the camps from the outside! Zoom shots from 1/4 mile away into Pizza Hut with cardboard cutouts of BTS visible"
Communism is when you have no culture, unlike capitalism, which never strips all meaning out of everything and literally commodified god.
Nothing would please me more than collapsing that entry and putting up a sign that says shit like "there is no valor to be found here." I got a license for heavy equipment, I'm qualified.
the North Korean article included no proof of its allegations
North Korea has long been accused of wide-scale human rights abuses
Neither CNN nor the UN have provided proof of their allegations. They're all based on coerced defector testimony. [1]
To describe it in CNN's own terms:
It was just several paragraphs long and cited “reports” in other media.
Il-Sung looking down from heaven seeing what fake korea is up to now like :kim-jong-il:
north korea should unironically make their own like mass marketed pop music and spread it like the fucking plague to own the kpop companies
There's no struggle session on kpop because we all agree on it being horrific
I’ve always rolled my eyes at these North Korean articles. They just get increasingly absurd and people somehow believe every one.
uncritical support for the DPRK in its heroic struggle to liberate occupied Korea from the genocidal American empire
Is this related to that one comcdrt wehere we we naw a bunch of people in korean dress clearly not caring about k pop?
I mean, it actually is really bad. K-pop stars are even more abused than children in hollywood (or at least equally abused)
