sure seems to be music monday again! or metal monday in my case. share recs or whatever. watcha been listening to?
night verses are so good
trash synth stuff. been enjoying The Algorithm's Data Renaissance, sounds like an old scanning machine with synths and metal on top of it
oh i remember seeing the algorithm years ago as a support act. gotta be honest they weren't my thing lol
tbh I think their only good album is Data Renaissance, came out in 2022. personally i think the best synth artists are probably Daniel Deluxe, Carpenter Brut, or Power Glove, one of them did Hotline Miami music idr which
i did really like the synthy-ness of enter shikari's the mindsweep. it's more metalcore than prog metal though
Ocean Eyes by Billie Eilish has been keeping my calm and helping me reevaluate my relationship with fear.
‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’ was so my last relationship and came out in perfect timing.
Same as last week 😅
Edit: and now P4 because I saw it remembered I haven't listened to it in a while 😁

I need to figure out a streamlined way to listen to and discover music without streaming services...
I used the one I had so little I finally cancelled it, plus I know they suck for artists, plus I'm one of those open source dweebs to the extreme so I don't want to run proprietary web apps and don't have a normal smartphone. Most of my music is either from bandcamp or pirated, but manually managing and syncing a collection is too much work for me to do it reliably and shit. I am lucky to have one absolutely goated and one pretty decent radio station near me both without ads though, so that's what I've mainly been listening to lately.
That and this I listened to for like an hour yesterday . It's "just" daft punk but A) I think it might be better in this form than their studio albums and B) I like daft punk, whatcha gonna do
daft punk's essential mix is legendary. i recommend nicolas jaar's and if you're a fan of dubstep skream's mix is also legendary

I've been listening to a mix of my usual doujin circles,
(specifically in a Tatsh mood, been listening to a lot of エインヘリャルの蝶と異世界幻術姫)
But also a lot of Kota Hoshino's Armored Core OSTs thrown in too. On a low metal bend lately so haven't been listening to as much as usual, although I used Ne Obliviscaris' Exul as my sleep album last night
