The ETR 600 is a class of trains built by Alstom, and are used on the routes between Roma-Bolzano and Roma-Trieste. The train tilts, using Pendolino technology, allowing higher speeds to be maintained through corners without causing discomfort to passengers. The trains are operated by Trenitalia, originally under the Frecciargento (Silver Arrow) branding used for trains capable of travelling between 250 km/h and 285 km/h, In 2022 they were rebranded under Frecciarossa (Red Arrow) after the Frecciargento branding was retired.

The ETR 600 has also been adapted for use in China as the China Railway CRH5 Hexie. Initially 60 sets were ordered, of which nine were manufactured by Alstom and 51 by CNR Changchun Railway Vehicles. Since, another 80 sets have been created for a total of 140, operating across China's north from Beijing to Ürümqi.

I've been on a atmospheric black metal and post-metal kick

Lots of Falls of Rauros, Panopticon, Russian Circles and Pelican

I kinda wanted to relisten to The Angelic Process's Weighing Souls With Sand but that might backfire badly and put my brain in the Bad Place

I need to revisit their post-reunion stuff, I remember liking it but it never got heavy rotation for me for some reason. I remember really liking "We Drift Like Worried Fire" and "Anthem for No State" but it didn't quite stick with me the way F#A#∞, Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada, LYSFLATH and Yanqui UXO did for me

(probably partially just having less uninterrupted free time to delve into something with repeat listens) yes-honey-left

Asunder and god’s pee are also really good and can almost get up there to the pre reunion stuff too. God’s Pee especially is beautiful because it has some hope in it, which really the radical hope just really hits me in the right way in the times we live in. Idk

have you listened to any rosetta or cult of luna? i'd recommend the galilean satellites by rosetta or mariner by cult of luna if not. might be kinda basic picks though so some slightly less obvious ones:

blackshape's self-titled album is a newer one that may or may not interest you

you take nothing by ragana is a great atmospheric sludge/black album

final recommendation is metaphysicize by bipolar architecture

Have you ever listened to ISIS? Panopticon (the album, not the artist) is one of my all time favorite albums, and I think they’re probably up your alley.

Ooh yeah, oceanic is also excellent. I really like the more raw feel it has compared to the others.

How about Agalloch? That’s another band you might dig. Ashes against the grain is my favorite of theirs, but like ISIS you really can’t go wrong with any of them.

Agalloch did The Mantle right? Elk album good

You might The Ocean (Collective) too. More prog/sludgy stuff than post-metal but probably would appeal to an ISIS fan too. They do concept albums about geological ages and the layers of the ocean and sound like a more atmospheric/sludgy version of Mastodon's first four-ish albums and are really cool and good imho

That’s them! I got to see them live once, and I really enjoyed it. Elk album definitely good.

Oh yeah, I love the ocean! Pelagial is the one of theirs that has stuck with me the hardest.

You have rad taste in music!

aubrey-happy aww ty!! You too! trans-heart

I've seen The Ocean twice and they're fucking great live but have I-was-saying level bad touring luck, I think both times I've seen them they said they either had gear stolen from them or had a van break down so I spent more in their merch than I wanted because I felt bad for them coming all the way from Switzerland to have bad shit happen to them sadness

They have some sick merch though imo

                    Jeez, rough tours :(

That’s pretty sick that you’ve gotten to see them a couple of times though! That’s a super dope shirt too, wow. 🤘

job for a cowboys one from this year, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Ulcerates new one which you've mentioned and Vitriols new one

There is also blood incantations new one though thats progressive death metal.

Crypt Sermon is epic doom/heavy metal. Uniforms new one is pretty decent though it is more noise, Hamferð have a new one but not got to it yet. Thou have a new one, sludgey too and I enjoyed the new Pallbearer

one of the black midi members (Geordie Greep) released his first solo album a couple days ago. it’s really good and has a lot of decent satire of masculinity. one of the songs on it that was released as a single (Holy, Holy) is abt pick-up artists

edit: if you haven’t listened to black midi, listen to them before u listen to Geordie’s album
