i don't categorically object to a highly aestheticized synthesis of spiritiuality and politics, but so much contemporary "witchy" stuff is kinda corny

actually i guess if your esotericism can be purchased from walmart for $14 it's inevitably gonna be a bit lib

    i find gamingcirclejerk unbearable nowadays

they do this thing where they imagine a guy to get mad at, like there'll be a gay person in a video game and 5 minutes later GJC frontpage will be full of people making fun of the imaginary gamer outrage, regardless of whether there has been outrage or not

it's a self-congratulatory echo chamber where lib redditors get together and jerk each other off over how much better they are than all those sexist, homophobic, racist gamers, and if there's not enough Gamer Moments(tm) going on at the moment they'll just make some up

Tbh, I don't think the reactionary gaming subculture has died down, so it's not like they're imagining it. Capital G gamers were throwing a shitfit at the fact that you can make your war criminal nonbinary in COD Cold War, so we have a long way to go.

That all being said, it's just annoying when every other post is "updoot to scare Gaymers".

      They targeted Tankies.

      Tankies.

We're a group of people who will sit for hours, days, even weeks on end arguing on the internet. Over, and over, and over all for nothing more than a little moral superiority for saying we did.

We'll punish our selfs doing things others would consider torture, because we think it's fun.

We'll spend most if not all of our free time googling Stalin quotes all for the opportunity to drop one in a quote tweet.

Many of us have made careers out of doing just these things: slogging through the grind, all day, the same hot takes over and over, hundreds of times to the point where we know every little detail such that some have attained such Marxist nirvana that they can literally recite Das Kapital blindfolded.

Do these people have any idea how many books have been read, tweets replied to, libs and chuds destroyed in frustration? All to latter be referred to as dunking on them?

These people honestly think this is a battle they can win? They take our subreddit? We're already building a new one without them. They take our mods? Tankies aren't shy about creating an alt, or even making a site our selves. They think calling us genocide deniers, authoritarian, non-leftists is going to change us? We've been called worse things by our parents. They picked a fight against a group that's already read Manufacturing Consent. Who enjoy the battle of being way too online. Who take it as a challange when they tell us Communism killed 50 million people. Our obsession with critically supporting Communism after being told we can't is so deeply ingrained from years of dealing with the CIA spreading anti-communist propaganda that proving you people wrong has become a very real need; a honed reflex.

Tankies are argumentative, sectarian, by nature. We love a challange. The worst thing you did in all of this was to challange us. You're not special, you're not original, you're not the first; this is just another form of liberalism.

WvP follows the brunch-o-meter in terms of how easy or difficult it is to radicalize anyone there. Def got some people there introduced to the futility of electoralism and the need for actual revolution on the night RBG died lol

Edit: but yeah it's just been girlboss shit since Biden took office

USSR was one of the first european nations to decriminalize homosexuality

          and then recriminalize it :cringe:

I fully agree with the approach but I would dump the homosexual relationship decriminalization because the decriminalization was done by abolishing old constitution in favour of Bolshevik one so it was more of an unintentional move rather than a deliberate one

At the risk of being called a lib, there are plenty of stains on Stalin's record that we shouldn't be afraid to call out, like the ethnic deportations or the "somewhat excessive" executions of people (and their family members). Just because libs dogmatically demonize Stalin because something something 1984 Animal Farm doesn't mean we should run exactly opposite. Being able to look history critically and materially is supposed to be a distinguishing factor for Marxists.

Some lib subs outright ban you for saying anything remotely good about the USSR (aside from "they killed nazis"), so you have to walk a fine line. I reconsidered unsubbing from a sub when I saw "Lenin was the OG Tankie" getting upvoted.

By the way, there are increasing signs that the Russian trials are not faked, but that there is a plot among those who look upon Stalin as a stupid reactionary who has betrayed the ideas of the revolution. Though we find it difficult to imagine this kind of internal thing, those who know Russia best are all more or less of the same opinion. I was firmly convinced to begin with that it was a case of a dictator's despotic acts, based on lies and deception, but this was a delusion.

It happens, for example I got banned from pretty much all "Communist" subreddits for weird fucking reasons like not stanning for Lukashenko.

They do have a tendency of banning people for weird fucking reasons. Basically whatever the current mod looking at your comment happens to believe at that specific time counts as liberalism.

gaming CJ was the last part of rddt I used with an account, once I broke free of that I was markedly improved as a person. Sad to see it be lib, but it's weakness anyway. wvp was always trash from what I saw, but I am biased anyway. just leave that site behind, you'll be happier.

was also banned from r/witchesvspatriatchy for hating on Libs

I got banned for posting in a shitliberalssay thread, not even about anything controversial, they just mass banned everyone who posted on a thread that mentioned them

I had some fun with that.

Calling out particular people by name (particularly mods) in the auto-ban sub and say something to bait them into responding. If they reply, they get wacked by their own mod script.

Great way to hijack a board, if you've got friendlies lower down in the mod queue.
