Like why the fuck do I need to put a stamp on my fucking mail-in ballot? That's a fucking poll tax

Yeah that's wack. I have a mail in ballot for some local judicial elections on my desk rn and it has the no postage necessary thing on it so I guess it varies by state. I should also note that I'm in Florida which isn't exactly the best when it comes to voter rights.

The issue is with date stamping. Any mail you send with a Forever stamp on it gets a date of process stamp put on it, which is typically used to determine when the person submitted it to the post office. However, if there’s no date stamp, like with prepaid envelopes, then they’ll argue that any mail-in ballots received after Election Day should be invalidated as it can’t be proved if they were submitted before Election Day.

They usually have non-USPS drop-off boxes at gathering places like libraries too.

That's what the concious mayans uses to do before the Zapatistas started running candidates: they'd riot at the polling stations on election day.

The year is 2125. You emerge from your coffin hotel room, and your AI reminds you that you must report to your 60 allotted minutes of cardiovascular exercise. "Would you like to listen to a Podcast while you work out?", the AI chirps, it's cheerful feminine voice beamed directly into your frontal lobe from your cranial implant. "Why not", you think back at it, grabbing a breakfast of Protein Shake In Orange from the nearest Vending Center.

"Welcome to Hardcore History with Dan Carlin Jr. Today, we will joined with special guests Sebastian Minor and Mike Duncan III to discuss the recent book on the fall of the United States, 'The End of Western Empire'. I really enjoyed it's rich insight on the historical question of when America truly fell. Was it with the spurious election of George W Bush in 2000, and the subsequent futile wars of conquest in the East, the foiled coup against Donald Trump's second term in office, or the toppling of Barron Trump's puppet government after the invasion of the People's Liberatory Army of Freedom in 2038?"

Let me propose an alternate scenario that I'm not sure is better or worse.

Trump challenges the election in 50 states. Things go up to the Supreme Court. It's down to "doing the right thing" so John Roberts weighs in on the side of justice, ruling in favor of Biden.

Every liberal in the nation says THANK YOU JOHN ROBERTS.

    That destroys my soul.

That's a scenario that starves off the collapse a little while longer at least.

If people are grateful to John Roberts then I don't want to live in that world

The liberal fantasy of a "good republican" is probably one of my least favourite things about them. Even in their fantasies they can't win by their own merit

Oi show snakes some respect, they're an integral part of the ecosystem.

Actually don't worry, republicans can still benefit the ecosystem, worms need food as well

Snakes definitely deserve credit compared to fucking Republicans though, you are absolutely right.

Looking forward to Biden conceding Florida so as not to undermine faith in the democratic process.

Do you have a link to the article? Because it's easy to screenshot something you type on your computer.

ik how y’all feel about electoralism. But if Biden wins and progressives don’t field a candidate in 4 years to challenge him then progressives prove that they are just as bad as the dems.
