You guys are a bunch of bullying assholes, and the bullying worked. I'm a fucking vegan now because meat consumption is irreconcilable with communism. You suck. Thanks.

It’s pretty much inevitable that you become vegan when you take the blinders off. You simply can’t reconcile the cruelty imposed on animals while also advocating for the tenets of communism, unless you’re just LARPing of course.

If anyone wants to imagine this is some sort of struggle session, maybe realize the oppression and exploitation you're forcing on animals while using capitalism as an excuse to do nothing.

I read the text as "Norwegian leftists" and thought it was a dunk on workers in the imperial core.

So if I'm at work and there's a bunch of beef jerky and other non vegan snacks here that were brought in but have been mostly ignored, should I throw them away? Is that a better use of those products than eating them or donating them?

This was posed as an earnest question but maybe it didn't come through over the internet. So seriously: what do I do in this case?

Animals aren't products, nor should they be treated as commodities. If someone raped and tortured me, then murdered me for my flesh, would it be wasteful not to eat my corpse? No, because I'm not a commodity, nor do I consent to being one.

What even kind of question is this?

Are you asking what to do if you forget to feed yourself? That's your responsibility.

I'm not saying we should eat people, but if it came to it and my body could keep people from going hungry, dig in.

Yeah, that's called consent. Animals that we rape and murder for their labor and flesh did not consent to any of that. It's not food, it's violence.

Besides, it's a leading question you pose. You can donate food (read: from plants) to folks instead of corpses.

I encourage you to go read my pinned post of vegan marxist theory, and also go read the resources in the sidebar.

If you're going to organize food for your local homeless folks or other people in need of mutual aid, you're going to give them beef jerky? As opposed to actual nutritionally dense food?

Fuck outta here with your bad faith arguments.

Lord almighty, I'm using an example of something that's already existing, is free, and available. You know most people with limited access to food don't have a lot of options for nutritionally dense food, let alone vegan choices right? Have you ever been to what passes for a market in a food desert?

Animals are people. Everyone who disagrees can fuck off. Any other populations or minorities for which you'd like to discuss if they should be free to oppress? In the marketplace of ideas maybe?
