I saw this in a comment in a LunaOi video so this is just me kind of reiterating a point someone else made, but as PoCwtfbbq I find a lot of the anti-tankie rhetoric extremely offensive. After I became disillusioned with 4chan culture war stupidity I kind of was floating in a socdem void but I saw shit like the Christchurch shooting, the growing number of people online calling for the extermination of all minorities and the seeming normalization of white nationalism among normie boomers and I started thinking, "dude, these people want to string me and everyone that looks like me from a tree. Why are liberals and socdems so against any kind of militancy?" and then I found communism and have been a "tankie" ever since.

These people want to kill everyone who disagrees with their fucked up biological determinism, I don't want anything less than a tank to deal with them

“Vanilla” tankies that think Hitler is good? Nah, not really.

    However…

Imo the real problem lies with the fact the lines between ”average authleft ML”,“tankie”, and “nazbol” are breaking down (having never been super strong to begin with).

It’s super easy now for someone getting into statist leftist politics to become convinced they have to engage in genocide denial and personality cultism to be a “true leftist“ by fermenting in a space like genzedong of communism101 for instance. From there, they actually start believing the reverberating group-think they’re constantly exposed to, and start spreading it. The meme grows stronger, the chuds more radical, and the newbie progresses further down the pipeline towards sitting in PCM all day going off about white replacement and cultural decline under the “auth-center” tag. This is how you get ppl calling Tucker Carlson a socialist.

    :jesse-wtf:

I’m a high-school age libsoc with liberal parents who’s lived in pretty (not necessarily rich) liberal areas my entire life

Vaushite rhetoric against "tankies" is indistinguishable from the reactionary rhetoric against feminism a decade ago. All terms are willfully misinterpreted, definitions of tankie are so fuzzy that the term can include or exclude anyone at will, and all wacky outliers are taken to reveal the true nature of the enemy.

I'm so glad everyone who falls between questioning AOC to literal Nazbol can be a tankie. We're the big tent y'all!

the people who came into power to stop the spread of communism, claimed to have "taken 'socialism' from the socialists" and repeatedly stressed they were pro-capitalism, directly collaborated with capitalists to further the capitalists' interests, are generally regarded as the cause of the coining of the word "privatization", and sent anyone left of Hindenburg to concentration camps were "genuinely socialist-ish" :galaxy-brain:

Marxism has no right to disguise itself as socialism. Socialism, unlike Marxism, does not repudiate private property.

        • Interview with George Sylvester Viereck, 1923

We National Socialists see in private property a higher level of human economic development that according to the differences in performance controls the management of what has been accomplished enabling and guaranteeing the advantage of a higher standard of living for everyone.

        • Speech made at the Reichstag (21 May 1935)

I absolutely insist on protecting private property. It is natural and salutary that the individual should be inspired by the wish to devote a part of the income from his work to building up and expanding a family estate. Suppose the estate consists of a factory. I regard it as axiomatic, in the ordinary way, that this factory will be better run by one of the members of the family that it would be by a State functionary—providing, of course, that the family remains healthy. In this sense, we must encourage private initiative.

        • A private statement made on March 24, 1942

These admittedly aren't like perfect "I am pro-capitalist" quotes but this is as close to that as you can get.

high rkka combat deaths is an extremely complex subject that in no way boils down to them running straight into machine gun nests. the ussr would have lost if they did that, the reality is that they were the most experienced armoured mobile warfare force in the allies with doctrinal emphasis on deep breakthroughs, but was limited heavily by a lack of artillery (because the chemical plants were all in the ukraine) that led to high deaths on the offensive. its not theory in any sense, but people should read shit like glantz b4 just saying shit like this which is informed entirely by like enemy at the gates and franz halder's lies.

I would, but I cut off contact with them after a three-hour long argument where they defended vaccine apartheid because "poor countries contribute less to vaccine research"

This is the leftist version of libs whining that the Afghans should put up more resistance to the Taliban. WWII was unbelievably brutal for the soviets, let them have their 45 year revisionist peace
