In bad country blah blah
Four 9/11's can't even buy you what one used to be worth two decades ago. Back in my day you could buy two wars in the middle east with just one 9/11.
Don't worry, the multiple "9/11s" we've talked up with Covid are just like a piggy bank. We're saving up for a big-time land war in Asia.
People were warning about this ever since the government first started printing 9/11s.
I swear, I don’t want to ever hear anyone say the words 9/11 again unless the context is “the US deserved 9/11” or “9/11 wasn’t that bad.” We went into two wars directly because of 9/11 because 3,000 people were killed. The US government has killed probably over a million people now, or roughly 333 9/11s. Unless you’re 333 times as mad at every US politician as you were about 9/11, shut the fuck up.
And yes I know we didn’t really go into two wars because of 9/11, we used 9/11 as a pretext to get into two wars we already wanted to get into but the point stands.
The US government has killed probably over a million people now

March 19 marks 15 years since the U.S.-UK invasion of Iraq in 2003, and the American people have no idea of the enormity of the calamity the invasion unleashed. The U.S. military has refused to keep a tally of Iraqi deaths. General Tommy Franks, the man in charge of the initial invasion, bluntly told reporters, “We don’t do body counts.” One survey found that most Americans thought Iraqi deaths were in the tens of thousands. But our calculations, using the best information available, show a catastrophic estimate of 2.4 million Iraqi deaths since the 2003 invasion.
Imagine what the number is in Florida
We can't trust the numbers coming out of the U.S., folks
There was some university (U. of Washington maybe) that looked at excess deaths in the US back when the COVID death toll was ~600k, and they estimated about 900k total deaths.
I love how two governors basically genocided their captive elderly populations. I think at some point seniors above 65 represented 25% of all deaths
That estimate was made quite a while ago, so it's likely close to or over a million now.
you don't understand, it had to be done this way because money line go up
The reason the press didn’t find out about this earlier was because when Cuomo was governor they got a phone call at 2am that went “Eyyyy it’s Tone. Keepa poking intoa my COVID responsa and there will be one or twoa more unreported deathsa, capsiche?”
Cuomo should have titled his how he beat covid book, "Mission Accomplished" instead
"As governor of the State of New York I did an excellent job of handling the covid emergency. And - this is important - I gave people hope. The media is reporting that covid deaths were undercounted by 12,000 people without context. If you do not have the appropriate context - how can you make a fair judgment? You can't. You cannot. It is simply impossible."
"From my grandmother - I have part of a gnocchi recipe to share with you..."

"It is delicious and my wife and I enjoy it very much."
"It is true that changes are a fundamental part Italian cooking. We are culinary improvisers and we have been so for millennia. But you can't skimp. That would disrespect the memory of grandmother and be a tragedy. The real problem is..."

My dad says it's ridiculous to place the blame on Cuomo for these deaths and he doubts that he did anything wrong at all. My mom agrees :agony-shivering: A small sample size, but libs will most likely give him a pass as well and try to rationalize it in some way. I love my parents, I really do, but it's stuff like this that makes me glad I'm moving out fairly soon. They just sit in front of the TV all day and repeat/believe whatever they hear, and it's absolutely nauseating
It's really bad. Like clockwork, my dad will ask what he was supposed to do and I'll say everything he could've done, but chose not to do and what he did that directly caused covid deaths.
