      Chaos reigns.

The lions sing and the hills take flight.

The moon by day, and the sun by night.

Blind woman, deaf man, jackdaw fool.

Let the Lord of Chaos rule.

Biden wins and the Chuds go full militant. That isn't necessarily a hope, but it would be an extremely interesting development.

Within the first week of Biden's presidency, someone takes a shot at him. They miss and are arrested. They are confirmed MAGA. Dems give speeches about the threat of right wing extremism. But they're so useless they don't actually do anything about it. They advocate increasing police budgets around the country to crack down on it but that just creates more police shootings and a more militarized police which is full of the same people who want Biden dead. Over the next 4 years, people keep trying to shoot Biden. One after another. They keep missing and security is double, trippled. At one public appearance Kamala gets shot and dies. The speaker of the House, who is now a Republican, steps up as VP. Biden welcomes him. Libs defend a Republican VP. Now people stop shooting at Biden. The VP talks massive shit about Biden on OAN every week. Biden attributes it to bipartisanship. Republicans, who have the majority in Congress, turn Biden into largest lame duck ever. Anyone who calls him a lame duck is called a Russian Republican operative.

I get that Hawkins isn't all that popular around here but it's not impossible he gets 5%, Trump loses, and the libs go all out nuclear on the left. Bring it on, I say...

Biden wins by numbers but Trump refuses to relinquish power. The military is largely chuds so it backs Trump. Balkanization begins.

    1. That meteor scheduled to hit a day before Election Day turns out to be much bigger than it looks now.
    2. Trump wins, but Democrats take the Senate. Trump immediately strokes out. Without Trump a lot of chuds lose steam, a few get themselves got by trying to play militant, and we start to see demobilization of the most dangerous elements of American fascism. Republicans have an unpopular, uncharismatic, unelected president who can't push through legislation or approve more federal judges. The neocons who joined Biden go back to the GOP and libs have a moment of "wait, they were full of shit this whole time?" Between that, the growing influence of the DSA wing of the Democratic Party, the failures of a bunch of centrists in the 2020 primary, and the lack of Biden administration jobs for those failed centrists to build their resumes, the party is forced to again deal with a serious left-ish candidate in the 2024 primary, and this time they aren't able to pull off the fix.

The asteroid NASA found enters our atmosphere and triggers a completely unforeseeable reaction upon reaching earth: it ignites the pollution, methane, and smog/particulate matter we've been spewing into the atmosphere for 150+ years. Climate change occurs over night as the atmosphere smolders. Ceasefires in conflict zones are called indefinitely. Intensive mining and resource extraction halts. After a few weeks/months, all the combustible pollution is gone, along with a sizable portion of the breathable atmosphere. People are forced to stay inside and generally limit their movements, finally allowing covid (and quite a few other communicable diseases) to burn itself out. Mutual aid networks and locally produced goods and services become the norm for supply networks. Surviving farm animals break free of their captivity and domesticated genetic breeding. New habitats form where they were previously leveled for golf courses and parking lots. Life resumes, quieter, safer, and more peaceful. Humanity is, at long last, humbled.
