Love too take time to sit on hold and scan fucking receipts in (for tests that aren’t even available)
inb4 someone sets up a donation drive where you charge your insurance company for the max # of tests and donate them
Starting Saturday, private health insurers will be required to cover up to eight home COVID-19 tests per month for people on their plans.
Only eight per month :amerikkka-clap:
I guarantee this number was negotiated between the insurance company lobbying group and the Biden administration.
I wonder if the Biden admin started with a higher number and negotiated down, or if they just accepted the 8 tests the vampire health insurers offered to cover.
If your whole local chapter does that, that's like 20 people grabbing and distributing 8 a month
I was going to mention this because one of their major facilities was up by me. They were absolutely destroying tests around the time the vaccine came out (and they laid off at least a hundred people). I can probably go to the landfill in the next town over and dig some up.
The country is littered with drive throughs, even the pharmacies already have them lol. But give fucking burger king a billion dollars to do it, whatever, the infrastructure is literally there already.
The idea of having to line up with potentially covid positive people is insane. It seems purposeful. I can't think of a better way to spread the fucking thing.
Just stand in the covid test line. If you didnt have it before, you sure have it now lmao
The Biden administration promises free* COVID tests for SUNY Oneonta anthropology masters program dropouts who start a Three-card Monte business in Crown Heights and keep it running for three years.
*Your insurance will be required to reimburse you.
Weren't we supposed to get a bunch of free tests this month?
They're $25 each without insurance which is absurd in its own right.
But now insurance companies are going to give you a rebate of up to $12 per test!
In functioning countries COVID tests are free and readily available. Don't trick yourself into believing that this is normal or inevitable, it is remarkably shitty.
I can literally go right now to a number of test sites, each within 20 minutes of biking and get a free test after no more than 15-20 minutes waiting. For absolutely free, and not in the sense that I get reimbursed later. In the sense that I do not pay anything at any point. PCR tests are also free. Publice European healthcare, baby :comfy-cool:
In my suburb this past week shipping containers have been dropped onto numerous shopping center parking lots where you can get a free covid test. I could bike to any one of them within 20 minutes if I wanted to get hit by a car on the way there.
can you get them delivered? seems like a bad idea to be required to go into a store for a covid test
