As I've mentioned before, we wait till he goes to Mars, and then trial by airlock. If he lives he's a witch and we burn him.

These motherfuckers will never give up their luxurious life on Earth to go to Mars. They will send peasants to settle it in their name.

Oh, no, they want to visit the slave mines. you gotta see the misery to really feel the power they crave. That's why they hate WFH etc.

I'm sure there's some fine print somewhere on these cars that states that Tesla is not at fault for incidents like this, sadly.

In a functional country, a corporation can cause untold amounts of suffering and death but if they have a piece of paper that says "We can do that" then we all have to just brush the dust off our hands and go "Welp, nothing we can do :shrug-outta-hecks: "

Elon promotes and sells FSD as... well, FSD. A Level5 fully-self driving software. But then the software is forever in "beta" and somehow Teslas are allowed to drive on the road with this crazy software. But they don't declare their system as "FSD" to the authorities (they would have to say it is AT LEAST a level3 self-driving software), so they are allowed to operate in this gray zone, where any mistake by the FSD is always the fault of the driver.

Even cooler is the fact that FSD profits combined are way higher than all of Tesla's profits combined so far. FSD is responsible for like 150% of Tesla's profits... something that doesn't work and probably won't ever work.

Murdering somebody, but getting off scotch-free, because I have a piece of paper that says I am not at fault for any murders I commit.

We already did this with regular cars. Nobody is getting tried. It's the pedestrian's fault.

Oh, come off it. Human drivers kill thousands every year. In fact, a human driver is at fault in this incident. He wasn't watching the car like he was supposed to.

Calling it "autopilot" was one of the worst moves ever, though. It's more of an assistance program. Autopilot makes it sound like it does everything for you and you can just go to sleep in the driver's seat.

Eh they told him it was autopilot. What should happen as the just thing is both he and Elon Musk get convicted of manslaughter

The software is really clear that you have to keep driving manually. The name is shit though.

yeah but that's expecting the users to read more than the name which is wildly optimistic to the point of delusion.

you have to account for users being the actual stupidest people on earth

Corporations are legally considered people, yet they are not subject to the death penalty. Curious...

Just convict every driver of manslaughter. Even if they haven't hit anyone, just arrest them. Arrest me. Build a nationwide rail transit system and arrest each driver at the end of their shift.

Anyone caught driving the unholy iron horse or steel carriage will be brought to the county constabulary and forced to pick out a switch
