Personally, I really liked u/Fatpollo. They always had so many sources and links to their arguments, and I was planning go through these lists before the sub got banned. Not sure if they know about this place though.
Generally speaking, I really liked the very friendly and loving users in the sub, whose names I don't remember exactly. It made the community super welcoming.

I miss having the megathread always pinned to the top of hot. Seems like this site's algorithm is much more aggressive in prioritizing newer posts. I'd be ok with it just being pinned regardless of whether you are using new/top/hot
I've often wondered if this community would better benefit from a message board format.
with the algorithm here weighing post activity too vs. just upvoted posts we're halfway there, the reddity stuff almost feels vestigial

The Juche Gang posters for sure, ALT_LEFTIST, RealWakandaDPRK, and fuck I'm spacing their name but the one who made the "left anti-communism does it again!" copypasta. I miss P_K's antics but right now we're not sleeping in the same room together over the China stuff. mugrimm used to have a lot of good longposts but I guess he got too busy to mod and fucked off to Twitter about a year before the sub ban. I miss when odnarb_oid used to drilpost in /new, and all the rest of the /new gang posters.

Beatnik went and made the Discord and Chapo.chat specifically keeping him out as a mod
