Recently, @Eugene_V_Dabs deleted all their posts & comments following the termination of their youtube account. This is only hours after their ukranian video was taken down after the guardian didnt want people watching some interview that would be inconvenient for the current narrative.

Frustration is understandable in the face of fascist propaganda, and it is 100% healthier to walk away from it than to engage in it. Still, I am going to miss watching their videos, which were a source of humor & light in a time of nonstop worldwide libel & propaganda.

I really hope this isn't the end, but I totally get it. Mr Dabs, thank you for your service :rat-salute:

@KermitTheFraud left me a message saying I had posted 212,000 words since November and 2 hours of video. In the face of that information, I felt that it was best for my health (and general opsec) to log off.

Perhaps in the coming days I will post an archival link of my videos.

    thank you for the appreciation

I don’t know if this was more an opsec concern or more a health concern, but I hope you’re able to take a break and continue doing what you do in a healthier and sufficiently anonymous capacity. Much love, comrade :ancom-heart:

I really hope you do, I have a playlist of your stuff that I use to turn my succdem friends into commies. I consider you the Hattori Hanzo of left memery, each post somehow even more honed and cutting than the last. You are a shitpost legend, and all thats left for me to say is ":bugs-stalin: Take it away, Fidel":fidel-salute-big:

At some point I hope there can be an effort to spread media production across a group of several people, to increase both reach and output, and prevent a single node from being taken down. If this happens I would be honored to take part in it or support it somehow.

'Cause I was so hooked on your videos that the algorithm started noticing.

Yea I think that we must have pushed them into the main stream of the algorithm with the small but rapid rate of engagement we gave them.

This was actually why I messaged them originally. I thought a core group of posters could expand an operation like that and make it more sustainable and more able to be pointed at specific issues. But also there’s a lot to be said about the distributed nature of how this site spreads around attention

Your videos were the one single YouTube channel I actually hit that bell on after I liked and subscribed. This is a huge loss; I sincerely hope you upload an archive somewhere.

For Reddit there’s metis search stuff that you can find. For Hexbear I pulled all of the comments via the api and just wrote my own word count function
