    Amazing how bazinga brain redditors flying over to Ukraine to fight alongside neo-nazis is cool and wholesome but me being depressed and missing my mom is bad and I'm the piece of shit for it. Also I'm a double piece of shit because I'm a communist. Someone please get me out of this country. Get me the hell away from the anglosphere.

          They always do until the next layer of "outsider" in their ever-shrinking concentric circles of insiders is put down, but then that fash solidarity evaporates and they start in on cannibalizing the next layer. Either way, it's a good reminder for us of the absolute need for leftist solidarity and how much we would do well to always at least strive to expand that solidarity where possible.

      I know you already know this, but hopefully it doesn't hurt to read a little reminder of it. Whoever is telling you you are bad or even that it's a "bad thing" that you're depressed while coping with a tremendous loss is just poisoned by the same rot responsible for for keeping the vast majority of the working class in the west ignorant of their true enemy and their hatred focused on those they should love. You are not a piece of shit, you're a fucking awesome human being living in a world where compassion and empathy (especially when paired with intelligence) are targeted, denigrated, and demeaned. We may be isolated as communists, but you're not alone in this hellhole of a country. That said, if you do find a viable way out of it for poor people like us, please please let me know.
