this isn't good folks, permanent standard time is good, this is permanent DST

this means months of driving and dropping off kids in pitch black environments in the morning which is bad for sleep and going to kill peeps

America already did this in the seventies and they hated it, p much every country that has tried permanent DST swapped off of it due to negative feedback

p much every sleep scientist on the planet thinks this is a bad idea

the reason this is being pushed by Rubio is bc later sunlight hours is good for Florida business and tourism, but fucks over the people actually living and working in the state (they're the ones getting up earlier and in the darkness), since it doesn't actually give more sunlight it just pushes it back

This is kind of a form of healthcare because my sleep is fucked for at least a month each time the time changes and that fucks with my mental and physical wellbeing.

permanent DST is a fuck, noon should be at noon, stop trying to change the way our lizard brains situate ourselves to the heavens in order to make treat shopping after work less dark

Okay.... nobody drop any nukes until we get to see if this thing passes.

I've seen the Berlin Wall fall, the USSR disintegrate, drugs that could effectively treat HIV/AIDS and it would be great to be able to add this to my scrapbook.

Good, DST succ. It causes massive circadian disruption and heart attacks everywhere.

Pacific and Mountain timezones should be combined imo, but this is good enough.

As a software engineer, my gut reaction is that this is going to ruin my life somehow.

Also don't like it being DST instead of standard time... but I guess it's good in places like MA, who should be in a time zone earlier than Eastern Time anyway.
