Reddit sucks ass. I look forward to a Linux community, or for even larger currently existing communities.

Can't wait to talk about video games in a public forum without having to talk to G*mers.

LivestreamFail without the incels and the censorship designed to suppress allegations of sexual assault against streamers would be nice.

Can we get a leftist Pro-Wrestling community for me and that one guy that used to post on the subreddit about Ric Flair a lot?!

I need my daily reminders that in 1998, the Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell in a Cell, and plummeted 16 feet through an announcer's table.

smartmarx needs more activity. squaredcircle sometimes has its moments, but i see too many people with fash, transphobe, and bootlicker (both general and wwe) tags next to their names.

That is 100% the point and anything short of that will leave me disappointed. I want this to be the birth of a new leftist movement on the internet which can legitimately integrate with and support the real world left.

one of the /r/linux mods recommended lemmy a couple of days ago so it's possible.

yeah we need a !linux and a !foss community, but I doubt they will go here I think they would probably go to dev.lemmy.ml

yeah I think that's the specific instance they recommended. but with federation, it's not a huge issue.

Yeah mate I'm so ready for lemmy to become the alternative. It will never become as big as reddit but that's almost good because it wouldn't become such a cesspool of chuds and facebook tier posts.

I really hope so to, and I think it's possible. Once the whole lemmy federated fediverse starts coming together as one federated system, I think there's a real potential here to make a huge social network, just like any of the corporate ones that come to mind. But, yes, and this is key: better. Much better.

I just need a place to buy and sell records and a dedicated Destiny 2 sub lmao, but those are pretty niche things, I'm not holding my breath. Oh and porn. Then reddit can go fuck off

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of it, idk why I just like the vinyl sale subs

hell yeah. having physical media is very fun and cool, and some of my favorite albums are only on vinyl

Random Access Memories by Daft Punk is a fantastic disco revival record, and Herbie Hancock's Monster and Chic's Le Chic are classics I can't recommend enough

I quit D2 back around the launch of Gambit cause my old computer couldn't handle the game anymore. How much of a hassle would it be to get back into at this point?

I'd be happy to help you get back in, they had to delay the next fall expansion bc covid and they wanted to avoid crunch, so there's a big stretch of time you could work on catching up. The story and content has gotten way better lately, the pyramid ships from the cutscene in vanilla d2 are literally flying in skyboxes. The pvp meta is in a great spot too. If you already know the basics of the game, getting back shouldn't be too hard, and you have 2 good campaigns to play. I would say redownload and give it a shot.

Cool! Heres a few links that might be helpful, but if you've already done the red war, curse of osiris, and warmind campaigns, you can ignore some stuff from polygon

It might be helpful if you're able to write up your critiques about it a bit. Since this isn't reddit we could actually fix the problems people are having.
