Most of you are MLs right? Did you do a patsoc purge? Probably.

I'm surprised at such the large userbase, we have around 300-500 active in total. (don't really take my word for it)

I'm @Adoraism-Stalinism on Lemmygrad.ml btw if you want to verify

patsocs haven't really taken root here. i think we're culturally too invested in chud-dunking to want to try to emulate them.

also we have a small but annoying anarchist faction, of which i am a member.

hope we can get federation Someday(tm)

Most of us are MLs, yeah, but factionalism is generally regarded to be pretty :cringe: here, this is a meant to be a pan-leftist space.

(Of course that does not include patsocs lol why would it)

I don't think we ever had to do a patsoc purge, which is pretty interesting since it means they must have all been purged in the previous struggle sessions. Tells you something about them.

For whatever reason, the online Chapo 'fanbase' has never really been the quasi-marxian demsocs of the podcast. It's mostly always been tankies, as long as I've known. This is where that subreddit moved to. It was also kind of the only good left sub at the time, the way GZD was more recently.

Oh there was still a good amount of struggling over China on the old sub. /r/moretankiechapo started for a reason, after all

Nah old sub was majority demsoc or libsoc varieties maybe until some months before we got nuked

yea I would say the sub got increasingly more tankie during the 2020 primary cycle as they ratfucked Bernie in slow motion

The subreddit 2020 primaries meme of

"Where did that bring you? Back to me :lenin-shining: "

definitely did, in fact, bring be back to Lenin, as I'm sure it did for many others back then

Yup. I will never forget it. I would have gone down this path regardless after Super Tuesday, but it so happened that seeing that post was the moment I gave up on electoralism. I wonder if whomever posted that knows how many people were affected by that fucking Avengers meme.

I’m pretty sure the practice of banning for transphobia, racism, sexism, etc took out any would-be PatSocs before that “movement” even sprouted up. This site is well modded.

Welcome comrade! We didn't have a patsoc purge because they've already been laughed out of the site in previous purges. Our biggest purge thus far came pretty early on, @TransComrade69 took care of eradicating the transphobe menace. :trans-dagger: :stfu-terf:

Since then we've had smaller purges but it's pretty smooth sailing over head aside from the odd vegan struggle session.

I would just like to say, it's super cute that there's a 160 comment thread for a new poster saying hi.

Having been here fro. The r/chapo banning origins, its become just a nice place to be online. Everyone is leftist but the content doesn't have to be all about leftist dtuff necessarily, you can just be openly a commie and joke around and not be debate bro'd. It's like just an old school sorta message board but everyone is assumed left by default so you can relax and do an internet like normal people do. If there's anything I can give this place credit for is you can be yourself and a leftist instead of posting as a representative of the left.

Its something I like about Lemmygrad, and now here! Lemmygrad still needs some content boosting, but its really getting there! I love the vibe of this place. I may hang around a bit every so often.

Lemmygrad is cool and I was there for a bit, as I just posted in another reply, this isbmore just like, a fun place to be qhwre you don't have to Act Like a Leftist, it's just assumed you're cool and you get to enjoy the internet without being forced to debate libs constantly. There's also for real politics stuff but it's a "Safe Space" in a way however much the term sucks to use, but there is a relatively deal community aspect here that is lacking in other leftist online circles where people seem to have to put on an air.

I'd guess that most of the users are MLs (or adjacent) but this is an anti-sectarian site, so no anti-Anarchist posting.
