Capitalism could literally descents into cannibalism but if the capitalists spun it off as "low carbon accessible nutrition" liberals will still believe that capitalism is working.

Keep warm for at no cost

Someone mentioned yesterday that copywriters and proofreaders are the first to be laid off and now I can't stop seeing it

They're probably somewhere in the double digits of the rankings if you don't count bullshit financial and legal products that are of no use to anyone except oligarchs and tax evaders. Turns out is very difficult to heat one's home or feed one's family on stock derivatives.

I mean, this has the seeds of mutual aid and maoist activism written all over it.

Get a large easily agitated group of people in the same small space, give them what they need to survive, and hey maybe mention how this shit isn't their fault and there's no reason for them to live like this save by the decree of folks in the bigger houses up the block.

I was looking at this like "Yeah, a warming shelter? I help run these every winter, what's the joke? Warm Bank is kinda a weird name for it I guess, silly brits."

Then I saw the hours. Completely useless. Warming shelters like this exist all over America though, every winter. Is this new to the UK?

Uh, lacking context - I think you'll find we also have unprecedented levels of food banks and child malnutrition.
