Being Gen Z is so fun!!! It's like being on death row, knowing your execution is impending. They just haven't figured out your date yet!

GenZers don't know what they missed

The essence of being Millennial is going from the richest wealthiest most increasingly stimulating childhood possible on earth, to not being able to own a home until you're 45

Being an early millennial is not fun either. Born too late to get in on the post-war consumption and real estate party but just in time to grow up in the 1990's and experience triumphant neoliberalism, a non-existing left and the reactionary bullshit culture it created.

It feels a lot more managable if you just think of everything on this list as "class war" :red-fist:

If we solve climate change, imperialism, fascism, and one or two more just to be nice, are we allowed to pawn off everything else on the folks younger than us?

      I say this sincerely: Yes.

Like hell are we going to solve all of this ourselves, we need help from future generations. If you have any children in your family, especially with thanksgiving coming up, make sure to be a positive role model for them. We need a generation that will mock gen Z for being full of reactionaries. Then the generation after that needs to do the same to the generation we raise.

solving imperialism and fascism will automatically solve a lot of the other things on this list, which is pretty cool i guess

Yes. Transcending capitalism is a prerequisite to solving any of these problems in anything but the most temporary and superficial way.

I don’t know. Mao was faced with imperialists and nationalists at his footstep and everyone was armed to the teeth and battle hardened. The current situation is more like sitting on a rocking chair while the apocalypse happens and just saying “yep, that’s bad”

Meanwhile boomers are telling eachother that the reason young people today are unhappy and depressed is because they expect too much from life.

It's hard to take on the struggles of the world alone, the only way to handle them and fight for a better future is together.

I don't know why but for me a light switched on in me years ago when I read about the people who go out and rescue migrants in the Mediterranean even under the possibility of getting fined or jail time. To me that meant there are people everywhere out there who are willing to do what's right and change the world for the better, I think about stuff like that when I'm feeling dark and bitter.

Reading this list, I just realized I forgot about microplastics.

Like, shit, any other time microplastics on their own would be a worldwide emergency. Like the 90s focused on acid rain, which is barely a problem. Imagine if they knew that plastics were in every animal, person, object, reservoir, vegetable, and droplet of water, and that also microplastics had been linked to tons of health issues. Oh well.

I honestly was hoping that the whole "microplastics in mice cause them to have smaller penises" would finally animate the Worldfuckers to stop their Worldfucking but it led to nothing. I mean I even hoped the Joe Rogan types would start to care. What about those PUA shitheads and Manosphere jerkoffs? Anyone? Crickets.
