lol, I don't know what they were going for with the comic book style, but if you just change the ordering a bit she really looks like the villain:

"I'm going to dismantle the department of education! These are our children!"

Then the colorful team of heroes comes in to make sure the children still get educated.

I’m going to dismantle the department of education!

He dem opponent will never use that in an ad but jesus fuck - it's right there and the ad writes itself.

"Why does Kelly Craft hate your children? She said she was 'going to dismantle the department of education.' In fact - listen to her say it herself [soundbite]..."

This will definitely work with the "my children have children now and I know better" demographic.

You could do a shot for shot remake of this with Samantha Bee and I would believe you if you told me it was from peak Daily Show era.

The "dismantle the department of education" bit hit me like a punch to the jaw. I guess I should have expected it coming from these freaks, but geez whiz. How transparent can this culture war shit get?

Without DOE grants half of Kentucky's schools would not even be open.

Well that would be great for them. They can funnel money to capitalists via charter schools and other private schools. It will also probably encourage more child labor.

How well does this anti-woke stuff do when it's referendums instead of candidates banking on it? Do otherwise conservative old people really care? How closely do actual voting trends mirror insane Facebook reactionaries?

From what I've seen, when polled, people almost always go far to the left of their representatives. The whole electoral system is designed around suppressing that reality though.

Squares v. Hippies in the 21st century

except this time, acknowledging that the hippies are your neighbors would humanize them too much -- so they have to be g'v'm't agents para-shooting in

the words may have changed, but the goals are the same. Gotta get rid of that pesky board of education! ...pay no attention to the child labor bill behind the podium...
