The only reason I liked chapo.chat better is that the old sub name used to make Will mad, lol. And every time they're asked about the name they say "oh it was just spur of the moment we were just being ironic" but they're also still oh so precious about the name that claiming it and using it made them mad enough to talk about it multiple times on their show

i think i made my first account like a day or two after cha.cha became a thing despite never having participated in r/chapotraphouse because i thought it was a sub for far left fans of seinfeld and i'd never watched seinfeld
i remember a lot of stuff being kicked up about based ball being banned but i still can't remember what they did
Based Ball started the original "outdoor cats" struggle session, and then kept trying to recreate that same level of shitstorm. I can't remember if they initially got banned for sectarianism, transphobia, or both, but I remember them popping up with new accounts and almost immediately getting banned for ban evasion.

My hot take is that hexbear is actually a bad name for the site, it just happened to be the current meme that we were all laughing at.
We should change tye site name once a year to a new meme which will shake off unwanted attention and confuse our enemies.
