    THEIR disgusting Asian bat flu.

OUR normal and unavoidable bird flu, and swine flu, and vaping disease, and...

Of course it was. Also 2019 was the worst flu season in Maryland in years, and that multiple nursing homes around Ft Detrick had mysterious respiratory illnesses break out at the same time.

I just think of how every accusation is a confession with these fucks. And they played the Wuhan lab leak theory hard.

If you follow the article's train of thought,

    • The US not having bullet trains is good actually because that protects the US from COVID
    • China leaving forests intact is bad and US deforestation is good because that kills wild animals, which is definitely where diseases come from, instead of from overcrowded livestock farms
    • Fearmongering about China's large population is totally not ecofascism, Reuters is just asking important questions

I didn't read it but I assume the argument is that deforestation did. There's a good argument for this, in fact virologists were warning about the risk of a pandemic before covid because of deforestation. (Good thing we stopped that lol).

The evil part is the only deforestation Reuters seems to care about is forest cut for high quality public transit - i.e. the type least likely to let humans mix readily with disease vectors.

I would tend to agree, but they actually did post this only three days ago. A whole special about a pretty scary disease jumping from bats to pigs to humans and evolving to more easily infect humans because of deforestation and animal agriculture.

Cool thanks for sharing. Yeah I guess I was sloppy with my language, I should have specified this article, not Reuters in general
